Nobody should ever say "So and so (high pressure) hasn't really taken off in this area...or I don't know if MY customers will be willing to fork over x dollars for this bed.

First of all, why quote walk-in, single visit pricing - if you're running your store(s) half right, you shouldn't be selling many singles at all but rather packages and memberships that create the illusion of the bed being more affordable.

Second, there is no such thing as 'high pressure' or really whatever 'not taking off in my area' - this simply means that there are dumb *** salon owners around that have not been able to CREATE a lucrative market for HP. Or, perhaps you just don't know these competing salons' numbers and only hearing from the few customers that buyed, tried, and came back to you. What about all the people that you may NEVER see again because they're now happily forking over the $20 or so average per session at these competing salons?

Bottom line is for the most part, all customer bases are very similar. You got your WHALE clients, your cheap asses, and a whole bunch of in betweens. YOU can create the market, the demand, and therefore the income. Can you sell? Train? Excite? Market? If you answer yes, go get one and watch your income go way up. If not, don't do it cause it will be a slow road to even make your lease payment.
