Default Re: Formostar Room

Best bet is to find an Adjustable Bed on the Internet (we spent around $600 each). Sites like Craigs list or other local online Classified ads. Plenty of Families selling them was their parents or Grandparents pass away. We have two, clients love them. Wider, adjustable head and feet one even has vibration (women love that one for some reason) All remote control.

Twin size fitted sheets, Thermal Blankets. Go to Jersey Towel.com for those, best prices. Nice pillow (we use foam) pillow proctector that can be cleaned (Walmart) Pillow case. Also need plastic cover for Twin mat cover.

Get a TV with built in DVD Player. Buy Season boxed sets of say: "The Office" "Desperate Housewifes" or other such season shows. They can go through a disk each visit and watch a whole season. Large Flat screen TV is best. (We have 42 inch) We also have HDTV Satellite TV with over 350 Channels. Nice Wall Unit to hold TV (We had ours built) Nice to have storage space for Formostar, towels, sheets, blankets, and the heated pads in the room. Also we bought those small tables that you have in the hospital rooms, you know that have wheels, adjustable so they can put there water on them as well, mags, cell phones, remotes, etc. Deco the room nice, block out the top two feet if opened, darken the lights or dimmer if possible, a lamp is nice touch also. We spent over $6,000 just on the rooms and buildout. You also need and intercom, doorbell, even possible walkie talkies for the clients to call the front desk if they are having a problem. Most just want to be left alone. We have wired intercoms for them to push and it rings the phones up front and we can talk to them but a door bell is easy to do.
