Default Re: Best Airbrush system???

Paasche airbrush??? I will give you one. I tried every airbrush system in the early days... Then gave up.. then tried again. then gave up again. Bear in mind I have a 5 hP compressor which can run any gun.

Then I studied HVLP, the answer was clear. The unit paid for itself the day I bought it. From that pont on it has been great.

even the large airbrushes are so very slow. Clients want NOW! They are already late when they arrive.

As for noise... My turbine is rather quiet. It makes a bit of noise.. which SELLS the next client. The turbine makes approximately the same noise as a large UV tan bed. A higher pitch, bt definitely not loud.

However, it is just loud enough for the clients to hear... and for some to ask... "What is that sound?" this opens the door to the next sale. Noise.. hmm.. If the TV is on in the lobby, clients cannot hear the turbine. Not hard to have a quiet turbine.

I wish you luck with the airbrushes. I tried 'em all. A suggestion... buy them locally with a "trial" sale. Most paint shops will sell them on a trial basis for artists to test and will allow an exchange. Ther was a point where I bought a new airbrsh each day for 5 days, vowing I could make the sunless biz work before I developed my turbine system.

If you really do not want a turbine.... just use a simple "Pump up" sprayer. 1 quart, with built in pump.. "The green ones in the garden dept for about $8" Set it for a fine mist and spray. Works better than all the airbrushes I tried.

Personal service is awesome.. but wasting your time... and your client's time??

I am not bashing airbrshes... just personally did not find it rewarding for me or the clients.
