Opinions are like pie-holes...we all have one. My personal opinion is that Philips LP lamps are great for MOST applications. Nice combination of quality and price. The Philips Advantage XPT 160-watt lamp has been very popular with many of my clients. One heads-up on Philips LP lamps...they don't like to be started by the Cosmedico electronic starters(Philips electronic starters-no problem). The Philips 400-watt HP is the industry standard and a great lamp. Many of the higher-wattage HP lamps by Philips are just so-so. Again, if I knew what bed you're relamping, I'd have better input for you.
