Default Re: going to buy a distressed salon

OK, Just got on the computer and saw the A/C pics. Those are a couple of 4 ton home units. Your space probably is using one of those.

The requirement is 1 ton per every 400 sq. ft. of space.

Now, for the beds:

For every regular 100 watt bed in the 3000 watt 30 amp range is .5 tons per bed

For every VHR bed in the 6000-9000 watts, 40-60 amps single phase is 1 ton per bed

For every large VHR in the range of 10,000-13,000 watts 60-80 amp three phase you need 1.5-2 tons per bed

for every high pressure unit in the range of 20,000- 35,000 watts 80-125 amp three phase you need 3 tons per bed

You need a considerable amnount more of A/C then you have pictured and I bet the electrical panel is not up to the job of running that along with the bed requirements either.

The beds in there now that you post require 5 tons of air plus the 3-4 tons you need just for space requirements so as it stands you are at least 5 tons short to start (and a couple more) (and I bet the farm that the space has a 200 amp three phase panel which will not be adequate either) you are short on power to install A/C to adequatly cool the beds let alone add upgrade equipment that would make this place profitable and a competition killer.
