It was 19 on the chair and then when I picked it up it went to 31.

I told you... a bucket (or chair) will block some UV from the sensor.

Now I'm blind.

Um.... if you can still read... what does it say on the upper label back side of meter ???

EyePro has clear UV block eyewear. Get a pair. Or at least use some amber colored (non-polarized) wrap around sunglasses.
