Default Re: Teen Tanning ban on the way for Ontario ?

This email is to advise you that Ontario MPP Khalil Ramal has introduced a private members bill - BILL 83 to the Ontario Legislature.

Bill 83 calls for a prohibition on selling or supplying tanning services or ultra-violet light treatment services to persons under the age of 19. The prohibition does not apply to ultraviolet light treatments prescribed by authorized medical professionals for conditions prescribed by the regulations.

We are calling for all Ontario Tanning Salons to be proactive in this issue and register to speak in opposition of this Bill. Please see below for the registration information and process. Steve Gilroy of the JCTA will speak on your behalf at the meeting if you wish.

If you don't want Bill 83 to pass - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Register below. Don't rely on others to fight for you. We need everyone working together. Stand up for your rights. This is your chance to protect your business and livelihood. Take the time to register today.

Bill 83 has passed the first reading May 28 and passed the second reading June 12.

Sincerely,

Uvalux Tanning & Support Team
