I have seven of those and I've had just about everything weird happen to them. I'm thinking "com" chip on the board. I've changed out those, the module itself quite a few times , the display board several times, and lots of loose wires in the drawer. Good luck! These electronic on-bed displays are nice when they work. No fun at all to troubleshoot. I've never found a bad or flickering lamp the culprit.
