Default Re: McCain-Palin

i am with ann on this one. it is offensive how the media is portraying palin.

i am not sure how she is so different than many women in this country - intelligent, dynamic, athletic, attractive, mother, wife, sister, daughter... she is not the only woman who can do it all. many women do it all. so what if they don't govern a state. doesn't matter. the balancing act of work and home for any parent (woman or man) can be a tough job.

using her family challanges to 'connect' with the public is just not right. it's like 'selling' her kids for publicity.

i know the media is making a big deal about her accomplishments versus obama's. this confuses me. why is palin being compared to obama. aren't they running for different offices? i don't really understand the roles in politics but can't a governer directly do more than a senator since a governer controls their state and a senator has to work with many others to control the nation? is that a fair comparison? shouldn't a govern being doing more since they control more?

someone said obama and biden didn't really know each other before this but don't obama and biden know each from working with each other in the senate and on the foreign relations committee?

mccain's camp did confirm that mccain and palin only met 2x before the rally on friday. he was just an admirer or hers.

many people wondering why obama didn't pick hilary for vp. anyone think maybe she did not want it? maybe she wants her own history in 4 years when she runs again.

this is really a historic election. 1st black presidental nominee, 1st republican women vp nominee.

cannot wait for the debates!

i think no matter who wins, will have a lot of work to do. and unfortunetly, 4 years will not be enough. following bush in the white house will be a hell of a job. i wouldn't want it!
