Now, so that Michelle knows what to do with this information, let's do some math:
Bronzing Sun 100W R 3.5%:
Suppose these lamps meter 30 mW/cm2 in a 20 min bed on your 5.0 meter, then 1.05 mW/cm2 is your actual UVB output
Velocity VSR 160W 2.8%:
Suppose these lamps meter 60 mW/cm2 in a 12 min bed on your 5.0 meter, then 1.68 mW/cm2 is your actual UVB output.
20 min bed is 1.67 times longer than the 12 min bed, but the 12 min bed has 1.6 times more UVB output.
So these beds have relatively the same burning potential even though the Bronzing Sun has a higher UVB%
Consider other variables like different wavelengths of UVB in different lamps, different UVB spikes, and different equipment and you'll figure out that UVB% is pretty much useless unless you're comparing the same wattage lamp from the same manufacturer going into the same bed.
