Default HP & Hand Held Sunless

Is anyone willing to share what they are charging for HP (lowest price point) and hand held sunless tans? I am considering both, however a post in another thread was concerning.

A salon is advertising $9 for single HP stand up. I charge that for my base beds, so how could HP be profitable for that salon?

What is the standard single session pricing in Canada now? Surely is can't be that low?

Anyone willing to share their hand held sunless prices too?

Thanks!

If they really have HP, then they are not making any money. A lot of people call beds with facials HP, which are not HP.

I have 3 salons and all my HP units are $35 for drop in and if you get a tanning package, it can get as low as $18. but no lower.

If you have any questions, call me.

If you're refering to the brochure MsHot posted, that was not a real one for her actual salon and equipment... it was just a template/ trial. She charges a lot more for her HP standup...

Also, we do airbrushing and it is the exact same price as our HP tans.

HP should be around $35-$40....same goes for spray tans.

Cheapest you should go is half price with the biggest package, usually $300+ packages.

There is an IDIOT salon owner in Alberta who is so stupid that they get 9$ for an hp tan that their comp sells for forty....and the comp is busy. You will easily average 22-25 per visit with the RIGHT hp unit. The wrong one will have you saying"I told you people around here would not pay for hp".So do your homework.....check them all out.

Ya, I have a guy here that charges $12 for a drop in in his Saturn. Same as his other standup. At least that was what he was charging before i got to town.

I wasn't concerned about people paying for it. I believe they will. My concern was that it would be like a sunless booth, and that the average price would eventually drop to something ridiculous.

I also don't want to be spraying people for $19.99 either, so the info on that is appreciated as well. My plan is to price the sprays considerably higher than $19.99 and the HP in the $35 range.

My $339 package gives my customers 18 tans in either HP or Spray tan. That works out to be $ 18.83 per visit.

That is the only way they drop below $19.99.

Yup......like Rob does and like i mentioned...the only way to drop the price that dramatically is if they get the biggest package which is over $300+.

if you are doing hand held sprays you should price it the same as your HP. $35. It's not just solution that costs more but manpower and labour. There is no labour involved in booths or tanning beds, take that into consideration.

Some hand held sprays are charging $50+/person. Some ppl with booths charge $40/spray.

If you are comfortable with $35-$40/spray....go for it and put your HP bed at the same price.

Easier to drop prices than to raise....that's FO SHO....

People have been "concerned" about HP prices dropping for years. The advantage here in Canada is that they cost more.Less idiots buy them.Sunless was{is} a joke compared to HP.HP also requires an investment in a/c and hydro. These are comitments that cost $$$.So your typical HP investor wants to make money.Sunless is ....a pain in the ass.....customers are phucked in the head.....messy......no health benifits.....dropping in demand.HP has to be done properly,or it will not succeed.
