limitations.........

there are some good things from Uvalux but then you are limited to what you can do and bring in.

All comes down to what you want from your salon and how much money you want to make. If you only sell DS, Cal Tan, AG or SB then your not loosing anything. If your selling any other brand, then you need to consider your options.

Exclusivity is good when it's worth it for you. Uvalux won't offer any amazing deals from you going exclusive with them.

Would you sell your soul for a few points extra of what you should be already getting?

Hey Rob.....with those 4 major lines I would do without all others if the price is right

If the price is right, who wouldn't?

I won't give up my Fiji Blend though. I sell too much of it to take off the shelves.

exactly.....even if a lotion sells great like Fiji for you....if you make more money cuz of a better price break on other lotions, why not switch. It is after all about making the most money.

The way I'm looking at it, it looks like only a 9% incentive to go exclusive. That 9% doesn't go very far when considering my other lines.

That should be your #1 motive in all decisions about your business. Lotions, equipment, accessories, etc.

Not just the cheapest, but what will fit your business model and give you more ROI.

Meh. None of them are my favourite. I've never carried SB/AG/CG except for one or 2 to try them. DS I've lived without for about a year. And the fact that the discount will now be less, does nothing for me.

I guess Uvalux is trying force the salon owner to purchasing from them, instend of offering good service and proper price reflect the Us dollar decline the last couple of years. That why my order are made south of the boarder great price a good fast service.

I have so far gone with one disty thus far, mostly because the other one i was dealing with was rather rude to me on the phone, which i didn't take to be too professional. I will keep my options open though.

Well I have gone exclusive, let me tell you, I never liked CT before, but it is litteraly flying off the shelves. I am selling Cypher like crazy, x speed and x power are gone the day i get it in. i have SG and even AG which I swore I would never do. People absolutely LOVE the cypher, they comment that they use less than other brands and just come out black! It is a 22% incentive to go exlusive, not a 9% as someone said above, plus there is a small cash back as well. The 22% is over and above the discounts, its put in an advertising acount for you, you can use those funds towards everything that you could possibly put a lotion logo and the positive tanning statement on, bus cards, gift cards, radio ads newspaper ads and so on. PLUS, my discounts on lotions more than DOUBLED what I got from the other disty's! now thats incentive! Someone like Natureboy with almost 3 locations could sure deal some great discounts with them. Now as far as lamps and equipment, they have no problem with me purchasing elsewhere because they cannot provide what I need in lamps.

I made my decision to switch despite what Rob said about fiji above, because I was not happy with fiji's new products this year, limited, and packaging was blahh, my customers are tired of the old fiji's and want something new and exciting. As its always said, Your best selling lotion is what ever you want it to be. and CT, DS AG and SB (limited amount of the last two) are doing Awesome, with no complaints!

i believe it is like 8% or 9% to be a prefered salon, which means you still buy from other disty's also

No we don't. what do you pay per bottle?

going premeir with Uvalux, i get my lotion cheaper than we can even wholesale through tomorrowsun.

with my discount and 22% going into advertising acount, I can't touch that. neither can any of the other disty's.
