Fluke!!!

The lady who's $$ she pocketed did mystic. She's done it several times but for some reason her legs were a tad blotchy and she called to let me know and I had her come in for a re spray.

When I pulled her file, it said she hasn't been in since April.

At the time she said she came in, one of my all access members did mystic(not actually, but said employee tanned her under the all access members name)

No $$ was taken in for that mystic, so I went to the video and wah-lah.

Now if her mystic wouldv'e been fine, I would never have caught it.

They always get caught in the end though. In my case, if this employee hadn't accused the manager in training of stealing, i wouldn't have gone into the computer to look at certain transactions, and woudln't have seen multiple employee tans in one day. But now its getting worse! Rob is going through it with a fine tooth comb. seems any code that could be used to give a free tan was being used inaproprietly. so far last count was aprox $10k, just in employee tans. There are 4 other codes off the top of my head, used for certain purposes. Anyway, made me go through my main salons computer, cause you never know, but its come up clean. good girls here..lol

would also think you would only be able to charge the customer if you were positive they knew what was going on was wrong. Like it was your employee's friend or relative or something and they knew that the employee was not charging them but wasn't allowed to do that.
there is 3 so far I know for sure is her friends she's doing this with. who haven't had a package since May

Rob spoke to police, it will be dificult to prove, cause she can just say beds malfunctioned or computer malfunctioned. etc. we have to dig for the consistancy's i guess.

Like the girl who buys a sample lotion, is booked in the apointment book, highlighted off, but never a tan on her profile, always a tan on employee instead in exact bed at exact time.

It's not a malfunction that a bed ran for a length of time.

But $10k????? How is that possible?

I had an employee that would take cash and tan the tanners under an all access tanner. I would work and see that a certain tanner had not been in, make mention to them when they were in front of me and they would say no i was in yesterday, paid cash. I called the police, they took a report and they said unless i have video of it, there is nothing they could do. I had about 40 tanners that were willing to give statements about how they paid cash or how they had not tanned on certain days. the cops did nothing.

Over 100 tans per month, almost all on HP Just under one code. now under that code, once we remove the real tans, that number will go down, but there is 4 more codes of excesive use to beat our way through. 100 tansPER MONTH from may to now x $35 per session.

Good luck IC!!! I hope the cops will do something for you. Here in Ontario, if it's under $1000.00 nothing U can do, but file a report. I used to do the salon paper work at the end of the month, Now I do it weekly so if something is funny I can see it b4 it becomes a problem!!!!!
