| Hey guys One of my customers works for CTV, she wants to do an interview about banning teen tanning in BC. She called me to invite me to talk on behalf of tanning salons about the positive effects of indoor tanning. I told her Mo would be a better choice. She would like to talk to him, I don't have a phone # for him.

I have been searching and can't find it. I also think that it would be great to point out to your freind at CTV news that they are already guilty of linking the proposed ban on teen tanning in Ontario with the recent study in the US wich shows an increase in melanoma among young women .What the media and the derms have seemed to have convieniently forgotten is that 20 or so years ago they said to people that skin cancer from tanning beds was not going to show up for 20 years.Well here we are 20 years later.According to them all of my clients {or a # of them, including my persenal 25 years of tanning bed use} would have skin cancer.Well here we are 20 something years later and ...guess what?Where is all of the skin cancer increases? Not in the 40-50- year old range{those people who used tanning beds 20-25 years ago} it is showing up ,according to this recent study in young women. And they are blaming tanning beds!!!!!!!! Well how convienient! The incubation period has been shortened. What no one seems to be noting is......these are the first among the suncreen generation who have now grown up,along with this melonoma increase. What a coincidence! They started using sunscreens at age 2or 3 because mommy was being good and listening to the press, the derms and all of the othor bull sh#ters and covered little betty with this new pharmeceuticle goo called sunscreen,to save little betty from the evils of sunlight. Well suprise, suprise, suprise.Little betty has skin cancer. So let's now convienietly blame tanning beds.No problem.everyone already knows they cause skin cancer. So let's just blame them. And let's make sure that all of the Gov't agencies that are now considering a ban on teen tanning get a hold of this latest blockbuster study that PROVES tanning beds are responsible.Let's not remind then what we said 20 years ago.Because we are so close to our goal.First teen tanning ,then all tanning. Then we control vit d production,we control all skin disorder treatments,we sell more sunscreens..and we get to collect the BILLIONS of profit that will come our way as a result of all of the diseases from D deficientcy .How sweet. Point this out to your freind at CTV.Ask her{or him} how they will feel when they are much older and the truth is finally told. And then they can reflect upon how they were not journalist, who gave a balanced truthful version. But pharmaceuticle parrots who just repeated the same old lies ,over and over again, wich resulted in theis mass hysteria about sunbeds and sunlight. Get them in touch with Mo.I think this story is a journalist dream .But it will problembly stay as a dream, because it seems that most media is more concerend with their own profits. And as long as the pharmeceuticle folks keep spending $$$$ on advertising. The BS will continue. |

She got this assignment and thought of me, because I'm always talking about the benefits of tanning. At first I told her no thank you, with all due respect the media paints a nasty picture of our industry and I don't want to be a part of it. She went on to say she wants to show both sides because she herself is a tanner. I just thought this might be a small step in the right direction for us as salon owners. __________________ Tanning the world one person at a time! |

Saw one employee of a salon state on tv that ,"well teens don't listen about smoking,so why should they about tanning"Pathetic.Good luck to whoever got the job. |

I have his phone number now, so when she covers the ban here in Ontario I will get her to call both of you. I know I could have done it, but I don't like to be in the spot light. Thanks for help UV2021 ![]() __________________ Tanning the world one person at a time! |

They are the best to have in your corner. I wish all salons would bow out of that kind of interview and leave it to people like MO, as they truley know their sheit, and would have the best answers to any question brought up. |
