I am sure that this has been posted before, but I want to back up data from salon and put in on computer at home. Using Helios 11. Do I need a dongle for home computer also?

no, just a bat script, and some IT know how to configure your home machine, nat router, etc

I just use logmein. I access the pc at work and transfer the neccessary files to my home computer.

My daughter set mine up. i just use back office. That will allow me to look at any reports and print anything i want. See averages for the salon and employees. i am on Sunlync so it is real time.. i have access to any of the customers reports and can do anything and it is instantly changed so the employee can see it right then. If i need to add time or whatever the employee needs to do i can do that from home. Helios is not real time (unless they have changed it)

No. you do not need another dongle. The dongle only activates the system to use Sales Codes. You can copy/paste data into a home computer and do all reporting, viewing etc. just can't sell anything.

As Frankie stated, for maintenance and reporting, BackOffice works great, and allows changes to the salon's computer from your home, without additional software, or the staff watching the mouse pointer move crazy on them.
