Got a call from UPS - mine is sitting at the border waiting for clearance (?) It'll probably cost more to clear the stoopid thing than what it's worth, but at least it's on the way.

FYI Canucks - I also got a call from Helios - apparently the return invoice has to be attached to the OUTSIDE of the return envelope along with the label so that the customs guys can see what is inside. If you don't do that it may bounce back to you to do it right. Or something like that. Just do it

ok...I have the 9.4 version....I purchased the salon 1/1/09
Is this thing still gonna crash on me?
There is no hook up to Helios server.
Since in the salon purchase contract
I was given rights to use software program
from previous owner...am I still boot/legging the situation?

I am very sure only version 11 has the kill switches in it.

9.4 definately dosent have a kill date but i would upgrade it to v12. You are on a version that is 10 years old!

Got my dongle and upgrade last Thursday. Only thing, I requested version 12, but they sent 11.7. And the driver for the dongle didn't load.

So I had to struggle to figure out how to manually load them so it would get out of Demo mode. But that was not too difficult. Went to Programs, Helios 11, Drivers, etc... and found them and loaded it. works fine now. just gotta remember to send it that $895 old dongle!J

Yes..that is on my list of upgrades..BUT scarey listening to all the problems you all haven!....Not sure stayn w/ Helios...but defenitly upgrading SOON

Dongle arrived today. Again Canadians take notice - the put a value of $27 on the package so your broker is going to NAIL you with clearance fees. Cost me $20 clearance for a "$27" part that probably had a true value of about $5. Sux. So tonight I upgrade - after a backup or 10.

Yup...i got nailed with $20 COD as well.

But i'm upgraded and running fine. For now.

We'll see if there is another blowup date in this one. I haven't played with the date to find out.

Just like i found out about this next one by playing with the date and advancing the date until it didn't work.

Wonder who's b-day they chose for the next explosion day.
