Helios Closing with F5 - TanToday

We have a second computer and every time we run a sale through and then press F5 and choose any payment option, Helios closes out. We have uninstalled/reinstalled the software and Helios tech support has no answers. Any suggestions?

First check to make sure both versions are the exact same. We had that issue before.

Yes - both versions are the same 11.6.1.

maybe the F5 key really isn't the F5 key. In the old days we'd switch around the keys and even if you know how to count you aren't going to think to see if they are in order or not.

Is this station setup to print to a receipt or open a cash drawer? Something is being triggered at end of sale that is causing the fault.

System is set to never print receipt and cash drawer "none".

Then I am guessing a permission issue on the server possibly. Maybe the workstation does not have proper write permissions.

Are you installing Helios when the dongle is already plugged in. If so, it may cause helios to be corrupt and not work properly. Helios should be installed first, then you plug in your dongle and have it install the drivers.

make sure you have separate system files for each computer.

I'm away from the salon at the moment so can't heck the specific folder, but it is in System Info for Helios.
