Yes it would work fine. At about 2" distance the prototype 9.6 meters read near 70 to Lumiere and near 85 mW/cm² to Omnilux.

I know someone who sells this in Canada. It's o.k to have it. Maybe I am thinking of something else. Big chair with a face plate covered in little red lights??

No success stories? Seems like a good amount of Lumiere units are for re-sale. Probably not a good sign.

Is Lumiere different from Omnilux? Are these two separate companies/products? Can anyone explain how they differ? Thx.

People who have measured both with the 9.6 meter say the Omnilux is stronger... something like 80 vs 65 mW/cm². I believe they both use the same red LEDs but the Omnilux clusters are tight together vs seperated by housing bands on the Lumiere.

But I'm not sure (positive) about the differences or the readings because:

1. I've never measured them myself, and
2. When I emailed and called Lumiere & Omnilux last year with questions they wouldn't answer.

So go punt - I guess.

Meanwhile, more and more articles have appeared about red (and blue) light irradiance actually doing some good. Hopefully so.

Hey Steve

I am going to send my proto-type back this week for re-calibration and the new labels.

Do you need me to send anything in with it?

Thanks

Le... Nope. It's all free. You already paid for the prototype.... and I told you I'd update it when the final cal and labels were done.

Warning: It will read about 8% less than your proto does.

You're not going to get any responses because there aren't any salons this has worked for.

a 30K machine with Leds is insane, At 2K It makes sense.

Mine is ugly.. But, It gets great results... I am treating a rosacea patient now. and Her skin is clearing for first time since childhood. She is ecstatic... Have similar results with Fine Line and wrinkling.

Have one client who had rather deep wrinkles across top of nose bridge... She Also tans very dark.... As the wrinkles unfolded from Laser... She now has two little "horns" where the untanned skin unwrinkled.

Stories like that help...

But still no make money... not sure what to do.

What doesn't make sense to me is how can something that costs so little to manufacture, cost soooo much. I like the idea of it, and have tried it at one of the shows, but I certainly would not pay full ticket or even 1/2 price for a system.

LED's are super cheap to make from the research I have done.
