1. Besides the equipment what else did you need (table, furniture, room preparation, etc.)? We got a spa/massage table, flat screen TV and DVD player, and big towels. A pillow which we cover in plastic. We put the machine under the bed on the shelf.

2. What was your total investment? About $10K

3. How much do you get per session? $79 single, first 3 for $89 and packages

4. Would you do it again? We are moving our spray room up front and turning the old spray room into a second formostar room. There are only 2 in this state and in the last month I've gotten 4 new clients from the formostar website alone.

Thanks so much,
FIT

Hope that helps. Kathe

I posted my results on another post. lost 5 pounds and a 1 1/4 on waist after 4 sessions in 8 days. Just got it introduced in the salon 2 weeks ago. have about a dozen clients using it. They all like it, most love it. Have made about $2.7k in revenue for the 2 weeks.

Did you do any special marketing other than your current clients?

All internal so far. I had Din make me some brochues and we give them to every single customer. Also purchased 2 posters from Formostar to hang in the lobby. Pretty much word of mouth so far, with the handouts (brochues).

Is there any type of training you go to for the formostar?

Does anyone let a person tan and use the formostar before or after on the same day? I know they say don't do that, but my beds don't throw much heat

Beds create infrared heat that penetrate the body. That is why people come tanning if they have soar muscles, eczema, psoriasis etc...You would make them sensitive and they will see redness or burn, regardless what order you put them in. Especially the fair skinned ppl.

The point is, that they may be turned off of the formostar if they do both and see redness and feel discomfort. you want to make them as comfortable as possible in the session. So it's not worth risking in my opinion.

Day before or day after...not on the same day though.
