I have a small supply of various packets of lotions that I purchased for little money in a lot of salon supplies but these are packets of product that I am not carrying in the salon. Would it be cheeky to give those away to focus on selling the product that I spent "real" money on? I'm assuming that would be a sprinkler system. I was talking about adding electrical and HVAC service to a space and this topic was brought up. Other than following code, hallway widths etc, is there anything else I need to do? I don't think I've seen sprinkler systems in salons. For sure that would cause a larger problem if that was to go off.

Also, for those of you without a drop ceiling, do you have any "material" sprayed onto your ceilings for some purpose? How do you get large VHR and HP beds down a 4ft hallway, through 3ft doorways, and into 9 X 9 rooms? I've seen many salons with large equipment and it looks like the scenario of getting the ship into the glass bottle.... I assume that I would meet with the leasing agent and go over the details of the space and then receive a copy of the lease. I would then be able to take it with me and make changes. How long does one typically have to edit the lease? I would prefer to do it myself but if I need a lawyer I will have one look it over. If I do it myself do I just start crossing items out and writing new ones in? You know what they say about assuming, which is why I'm asking because I would rather know than guess. Trouble is we only have 5 beds as we are mostly a gym/health club.

We average about $50K between the 5 units plus lotion sales. We were wondering if we even have enough tan receipts to hire a manager. We aren't sure what base to pay, what commissions to pay, bonus's, what hours they would work etc. Seems like a yr ago I spoke with a consultant from California. Can anyone refer me to one? Or at least maybe a guide that walks me through the process?
