Default Guess my numbers!

So thanks to my very BFF Suze, I have a meter to play with. I'm about to relamp some beds.

What do you think 100W reflectors that need to be replaced are metering at 5 minutes? Does the brand matter? Okay fine, Voltarc GTX 5.0s.

They're rated for about 1200 hrs and are around 1100.

Well - first read this... at least the part about 5.0 meters if that's what both of them are:

How to read UV meters

Then if you have a specific question or two I'll answer it.

First off....if the lamps are in a 32 lamp bed, you will have maybe about 20 mw2 AT BEST after 1000 hours...in fact...I would guess your 7.0 meter will tell you that the session time is up to about 30 mins now.

New? In a sundash genesis with 120 ballasts..about 37 mw2..in a 100 watt ballast 32 lamps....about 30 mw2...in a 100watt ballast on a larger bed....up to 35mw2

On your 180's....again....how many lamps?.....on a 45 lamp bed....about 45 mw2 new (unless they are new era lamps)

At 500 hours....30 mw2

Yep, 32 lamps (12 minute max) and I don't have a 7.0.

And the 180s are in a 44 lamp (8 minute max).

I'm tempted to clean the acrylics and wipe down the lamps and do another reading just to see before I replace the lamps. Fun with new toys!
