240 / MED = time to 4 MEDS

240 / 22 = 10.9 minutes

240/22=Te session time of 10.9 min.

Just divide 240 by the meter reading for Te time.

What they said.

The 240 is 60min x 4 MEDs fyi. Just a shortcut to D. Smith's method of calculating MED/minute first.

What kind of bed is giving you the "hot" 11 min Te time? Please don't say a 400W facial haha.

And if you say a newly lamped SS2021 you will make SpringBok pee his pants.

PS: The title of this thread sounds like some kind of date drug.

So.... does that make it a "roid" in your opinion?

Do you get a more "normal" MED/hr reading on your other HP stuff.... something in the 14-18 range?

Some of us actually LIKE "roid" HP beds! As long as the 5.0 meter UVA is way up more than any VHR.... If not, then the "roid" is just like a strong VHR in disguise.

You are right... traditional HP MED/hr would be more like 10 - or 24min to 4 MEDs. Even less MED/hr for the early ones.

You could reduce the Saturn MEDs with thicker clear glass.... if you want to. If it fits in the cassette.

No, thats crazy. HP is not HP that gives you 4 meds...

Roids and HP do not go together.

Rob.... you don't have a 7.0 meter do you? If not - how do you know how many MEDs your stuff puts out (other than by "feel")?

Any numbers on the Leonardo yet? Would they be the same as the Saturn?

The Leonardo is the same as the saturn. Same set up, same glass.

The new saturns really are a 10 min max bed with 8 mins max when the glass is new.

You can't just change clear glass willy nilly. The clear is the majority of the uvb blocking glass. A thicker glass would make the unit run cooler which would be fantastic...but you can't just put in any ol whatever in there.

BTW..My SS 2021's also put out 6-9 on the body on a 7.0 meter and put out in the 90's on a 5.0 and people get real tan.

My staff will ALWAYS pick the SunSport for a brand new customer cause they will never burn and always get a "Tan in just 3 visits"

So a salon with both sunsport platinum MUG 6, and leonardo, the customers should start out with 3 sessions on the platinum, then alternate the 2 beds every 4-6 days or so for max. build of colour and then go on a maintenance phase of 3-4 platinums a month? how about if they try to maintain that same 3-4 times a month tan they get on the platinum or king, if they only used the leo. the more agressive nature of this bed....would they need to tan more often?
