If in a bathing suit exposing say 80% body... that would be 8 x 190 = 1520 IU/min. So for 2 min = 3040 IU total. And for 10 min = 15200 IU !! __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang" |

I have uncovered that your SS Platinum is putting out 13.4 MED/hr. That would be 21 minutes to 4 MEDs.... albeit nobody needs all 4 MEDs with HP. So a half Te session of ~10 minutes gives plenty of D3 - no problem. BTW... if that is mattress bed then 10 min PER SIDE would be required for the same D3 totals. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ An old fashioned floppy disk of it went to distributors who ordered some meters. Using the xls utility you can raise skin types up from the default type 2 (Irish?) to type 4 (Hispanic?) and see how much less D3 they get for whatever meter reading and exposure time you enter. Also percent tan reduces D3, and percent body exposure is the biggest factor. All can be adjusted on the utility. Roughly speaking... type 4 needs twice as much exposure as type 2 for the same D3 result. Look at the dotted - dashed bars on the skin type graph above (post # 7) and you can see the relative differences from type 2. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ Good news doesn't sell. So print out this Model 6.4 webpage and stick it in their noses when they start laughing at you and the meter: http://www.solarmeter.com/model64.html It is based on pure peer-reviewed science.... with references available on request. Do NOT let them brush you off as a quack playing with a toy! It is a scientific instrument - worth at least 10 times more than it's $189 pricetag. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................
