for all of our stores we have a contest for lotion selling...each store has about 7-8 employees...so the winner of their individual store recieves $50.00, and then the winner of the all the stores put together gets $150.00! some employees have doubled the lotion they sold before. We determine the winner not so much by how many bottles....but total lotion gross by how many customers you have waited on...making it an even playing field for those that may only work 10 hours a week as apposed to sum1 that works 30+. We type up the names and put the numerical value next to them...almost like a little league standings sheet! they love...they get to see what place they are in...and those that finish last 1 month....NEVER finish last 2 straight months...its a great tool...and lotion sales have deff gone up...without having to even discount my tanning packages or give things away for free.

I would also like the list if it is still available. Please send to imoffduty@gmail.com ....also another lotion question.....I am receiving a lot of sample packets of lotions for purchasing lotion. They are not costing me anything and state "not for resale". What do you do with these samples.....do you set them out for people to use for free or still charge 1 or 2 bucks each.....I don't want to lose a lotion sale cause I am giving free samples..

If these are products that are new to your store, I definitely wouldn't just hand them out. Possibly not even sell them. You don't even know what they will do to your client. Especially if its an extreme tingle or heavy bronzer. You'll have clients either on fire or orange.
Your best bet would be to pass them out to your staff. And/or use them yourself.
If you want to gift some to your "faithful" customers, make sure you research what you are giving them first. Any new catalog should give you a quick description.
We have given some samples to our "special" clients this season. Those serious tanners who love lotions and love spending. That way you can get an opinion direct from the horses mouth. But don't run out and buy it cause one person likes. Make out a questionaire for each one. Then compare and go for there.

I am not recieving samples at all would you please let me know how you are getting them. I use to get samples long time ago.

We always put the packette in a cuppette so it doesn't get splatted around the room.

If you have a ton of lotions let them go thru your catalog and discuss and pick one with them and go into your private stash and walllaaa... 3. bucks or whatever...

We usually never have packettes on hand for lotions we do not carry.. As the reason for them is to try and then buy a full bottle.

Any packettes we have otherwise we use or have our techs try them.
