Regaurdless of the Product, we sell the most of which ever moisturizer we are offering as a free sample at the front desk. After clients tan, they always use some on their hands and love it! they fly off the shelves after that. Latley Flaunt has been the biggest seller, along with Angel and of course the Classic Hempz!! Im also thinking about bringing in the Avojuice by OPI, their smells are AMAZING! Total Immersion Cal tan is the biggest seller for men, good scent.

I have a little note board saying<O</O
Give your Tan 9 lives
MOISTURIZE
(ask one of our staff for some free samples<O</O
<O</O

Sounds stupid but it’s like one of those annoying commercial sing along that you tend to hum to your self in the morning

I find that HEMPZ works the best and smells the best (watermelon-ish). Luminous has a more neutral scent and I have been using that now for a couple years and recommend it but i find that my tan lasted a lot longer with the Hempz as it worked better and I'm discontinuing Luminous in my salon and I'm gonna push the Hemz more and I'm brining in Flaunt by Supre. Also another good one.

Heiress looks amazing and sells amazing and smells even better, but it doesn't work and I have all my customers coming back and complaining that it's not keeping them moist and it does nothing for them and they start buying Nivea from the drug store. So I've dropped Heiress by Fiji also as I found the same thing that they were saying was right.

Total Endurance is alright but the smell goes bad in the bottle pretty quickly, so for guys who don't apply it everywhere and the bottle lasts a bit longer for them, it begins to smell like crap.

So. HEMPZ and Flaunt are both excellent products both by Supre.

How to sell them is as a tan extender, i sell them to the tingle fanatics as the tingle dries out the skin more and rehydration is crucial in keeping that colour they get. So it's a MUST for people that use a tingle.

Women that have problems tanning their legs....sell them a tingle lotion and a bottle of moisturizer to boost the colour and keep it going longer. Combo sales.

I have lotions specials that ALWAYS include a moisturizer with it. Total the lotion and the moisturizer and subtract 20% and sell as a combo.

So i would give them the option of either buying a tingle with a facial or a tingle with a moisturizer or all 3 (for more obviously)

MOISTURIZORS: WHY EVERYONE NEEDS THEM AND WHY EVERYONE SHOULD BE SELLING THEM
EVERY WOMAN USES A MOITURIZOR, BUT EVERY WOMAN WHO TANS NEEDS A TANNING MOISTURIZOR. (most moisturizers are made for the masses, people who do not tan, and therefore these products do not care for the skin and replenish vitamins and botanicals that a tanners skin needs to stay healthy)
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
SELLING TECHNIQUE:
1. Have Salesperson put a sample amount of moisturizer on customers arm PRIOR to tanning, and have customer rub it in, should take numerous swipes to absorb
2. explain to customer that the tanning process takes vitamins out of skin and that is why tanners get dry skin or tanners itch
3. After the tanning session, place the same amount of moisturizer on customer in same spot and have them rub it in. this should only take one or two swipes and the moisturizer will absorb and replenish necessary vitamins in skin
4. GUARANTEED RESULTS, GUARANTEED <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">SALE</st1:City></st1lace>!
a. Customer will have better looking and feelin skin
b. Longer lasting tanning results
c. Better looking skin in the future

You guys make it to complicated.

Employee asks: "Are you using one of our moisturizers?"

Customer responds: "No. I have my...."

Employee interrupts: "No wonder you look like shit."

Guaranteed sale. A little honesty is the best policy.

JA Body Emulsion has always been number one with us. New fragrance Love Spell has help sell it, but the main thing is the results you get from it.

Many ways to sell the product... pick yours and it will sell

I took it a little overboard when i tried that this morning....it did work but i also went on to list a few more things about tehm. Needless to say the weight loss gym next door loves me as I've given them more customers.

It does work though....

I had a new customer last week who did'nt think that tanning lotions and moisturizers was necessary.
I can't believe that I said this

"Lotions are very much necessary, Tanning is very drying to the skin and without lotions you will age, that's why I recommend using it" Also, you waste the first 7 minutes of your session with dry skin... Moisturizing is the key factor is tanning!"

I scared her into buying lotions, I feel just awful!
I did'nt mean to be so blundt about it, but I'm sick and tired of people telling me that they don't need lotions to tan, they tan better without lotions

I like Designer Skin Enamor...Smells good and feels good...Leave a sample at counter for customers and girls have them try it and smell it when they come in or as they leave...

Let them put a squirt on their arm...they almost always buy a bottle.

Do they still sell Luminous? I thought they were stopping it? That is a GREAT one!

The ones I also love are the ones with a mild bronzer in it. not too much to make you streak or anything, but it helps. Body Drench is great too. Everyones Skin is different though.
