Introduction: Come Towards The Light
For those of you who have not the time to recover from nor the epidermal capacity to withstand lasers -- High Intensity Pulsed Light Therapy may be for you. This promising new procedure is also known as Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, computer controlled light therapy, Light Laser, MultiLight, Photo Laser or by various trade and service marks, FotoFacial ™, PhotoFacial ™, PhotoDerm ™, EpiLight ™, MultiLight ™, PlasmaLight, and I am sure, soon-to-be others. It is phenomenal new mini-procedure capable of diminishing or fully ridding one of age/liver spots, fine wrinkles (rhytids), facial flushing, redness, broken capillaries, telangiectasia (Teel-ann-ject-AZE-yah) which are purple or blue veins on the face, hemangiomas (sacs of red, purple or blue blood vessels resembling a blister, aka strawberry hemangiomas), freckles, minor sun damage, port wine stains, tattoos, varicose veins, spider veins, flat birth marks, hypo-pigmentation and even hair removal! And the best part? NO downtime! Intense Pulsed Light Therapy gives you the benefits of a medium depth laser or chemical peel or other type of resurfacing/rejuvenation procedure without the blisters, burns and long recovery time. Not only that, it is the only proven therapy to help with redness (rosacea, flushing, etc)! And to boot, many patients report a reduction in pore size, smoother skin, and less wrinkles! What Is High Intensity Pulsed Light Therapy or IPL? This incredible new therapy was pioneered by Dr. Patrick Bitter Jr. and is based on emitting high intensity pulses of light (not lasers) to penetrate the skin and rid you of various complaints. There are different machines for different levels or types of penetration. It is also knows as IPL Photorejuvenation. For instance, PhotoDerm as the PhotoDerm VL (vascular lesions) {VascuLight/MultiLight}, PhotoDerm PL (pigmented lesions) or PhotoDerm HR (hair removal). PhotoDerm and PhotoFacial™ intense pulsed light systems are expensive! ESC Medical Systems in Needham, Massachusetts, costs around $130,000. ESC is an innovator in all kinds of high-end medical equipment and is a trusted leader in the medical profession. Available at RX Skin Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ

Hell yes it works! I want it in my spa so damn bad. Good quality ones can be had for about $175,000.00 or same model used with new tip for about $99,000-$115,00.00
Just like tanning beds, there are some that look good, but are not as effective as others. It's the next step for my Spa.

I want one too but I need to make sure it works. Not buying something that will not give results. Don`t want to wait forever for someone to see them either. I have been taking to my surgeon about this and he is going to help me find something. Something that he would have in his office for his clients. He will send me clients that do not want to go under the knife or have a chemical peel.

Caution: Federal (US) law restricts (*IPLT*) devices to sale by or on the order of a licensed practitioner.
How do you will manage this restriction? Manufacturers have FDA approved units. so no problems for insurance. |

I am looking to partner up with a local MD, but I will not give up any ownership in my LLC. I am tring to see if there is a way arouond this, where the Dr. acts as a on-site facilitator.
But... this kills profits.

You will never have anything constructive to say, because you don't know a damn thing about this subject.
Honestly, I can't take investment advice seriously from someone who owns a hole in the wall salon and drives a 1978 olds. Are you even aware that you offer light therapy in your salon? Call it tanning, but you are never the less causing a reaction via light waves. So are you saying that your beds are just smoke and mirrors?

Spray tan was the SAFE ALTERNATIVE and this was FIX THE DAMAGE DONE. I just can't see how that would work in a tanning salon. But you are correct. IMO tanning works better than any medicine or supplement for certain skin conditions and of course Vitamin D. When reality hits and people are running from SPF to the tanning salons and equipment isn't being sold as the SAFER ALTERNATIVE then I'll look into these things. If you are judging me based on what my market can afford, and MY choice of autos that's fine. I'm not the defensive one. I mean, they USED to have one of these setups in a near by salon. Wouldn't want them to hear what people tell ME what they thought of their experiences with it. I don't care if you have a diamond making machine. If it's marketed incorrectly then what good is it.

Oh, then I appologise to you. Even with the spray booth, I feel there really is a market for it BUT to try to sell one as the safe alternative to some guy that owns 1000 UV beds is just clueless.
It seems to me that you do like the equipment but have had to remarket it based on your experience with it. DO you use Luminere in a tanning environment or more of a spa setup? Honestly nothing against you, but I (as well as many others) sat through the BS that was the extreme marketing of teeth whitening, light therapy and spray booths on tanjock a few years back and I just don't understand what the hell they were thinking with their marketing techniques. Completely anti tanning and they focused on tanning salons. Ok that's an easy swallow. How am I suppoed to afford blackouts and a tint job on my cutlass?

I posted this little tid-bit -- not to raise little Joe's blood pressure -- not to advocate spending 175k on something for your tanning salon -- but, because it WORKS ~believeitornot~. This is not a marketing ploy for ITA to take advantage of (like they could anyways) but a REAL alternative for people who do not want to go under the knife yet, still want to look better. If this were a possibility for tanning salon owners and the people that frequent them I would be selling this particular brand of light therapy all day long (AND making$$$$$$$$)

I have a Spa, created out of the things Tanning salons do not do good with. They all work great, but just do not fit the typical tanning salon mix and sales structure.
I am not anti-tanning at all, we cross promote with the new owner of my old UV salon (just down the street). You are correct however, the manufactures presented them this way. Not cool in my book. BTW: No need for a "tint job" with your stress levels; you need a "tit job" Go home tonight and get some. Also, I don't have 175k to toss around, I only know that number from "window shopping", however Beat's 50K post raises my eyebrows again. Miss - You are right, the IPL devices are amazing, we can do quite a bit with Lumiere and other photo facials, but nothing what a lazer can do.

Just got some last night thanks. So good I'm marrying her next week.
It sucks to have to spend the money BUT I bet you are a GENIUS when it comes to this thing. Probably know it better than the people selling it. I know one thing and that's I do not mind spending the money on something that appears to have major potential. To have to spend the money on reeducating myself thanks to a reality check, I'm REALLY going to know how it works. Honest, I so can appreciate your PASSION for this thing. If only everyone had some passion for their f'n jobs maybe people wouldn't be so frickin clueless. Nah, just show up with fake titties and gimmie the money cause I'm worth it. Marketing. You can sell a frikking rock as a pet but when they get something with potential, they take no time to sell it correctly. Just MAX POWER! SELL TO ANYONE! Imagine if spray booths were marketed differently...would they have dropped to $10K in only 3 years? That's gettting off subject though.
