The "left" arm pad is not heating. If I plug the "right" arm pad (that is working fine) into the same the "left" port it still works. Plug the "left" arm pad into the "right" port and it still does not work.
I checked the wire connections on the cable at the plug in and they look okay. So I explained all this to Formostar and they said I just need to buy a replacement pad. So I have a arm pad on the way, for $650. I am going to try to figure out how to fix the bad pad, so I will now have a spare - instead of just disposing of it. Anyone ever torn one apart? I figure I will have to cut open the pad where the cable goes in and see if the connection is good. But then I will have to seal the pad back up. Is there a adhesive that works on silicone, or whatever these pads are made of? |

I've asked this before.....when the pad opens up, it's a mesh with wiring all over the place that is impossible to reseal and get back to normal condition once opened.
Not worth it. just keep buying up some used formostars for parts.

Just get new, and budget for new arm pads every year or so.
They come with a 1 year warranty. The arm pads always go out.

I am not sure how it all works. We just had one go out with-in 1 year and we got a replacement at no charge.
We had to buy it and then send the bad one back for inspection, then they issue a refund. Altho, it took 5 phone calls and several weeks to finally get them to credit the funds back, and the rep constantly lied about processing the refund (This is why we had to call 5 times!). It did finally get taken care of. This was from Sun Italia. (not sure how they ended up stocking Formostar parts). The first arm pad we orderd from Formostar direct and I don't think it had a warranty.
