Default Customer Experiencing "Pin Pricking" Sensation

I'm a newer salon owner (just over a year). This is my first post. I had a client tan today who said she has been experiencing a "pin pricking" sensation while tanning. It's not constant, but pulsating. It has progressively gotten stronger, even a bit painful. She has this experience when using different beds in our salon. She does not use any lotions that could be causing this. She is not on any medications. She did indicate that she had hip resurfacing done recently. Could this be causing this sensation? I told her she should consult her physician if the problem continues. Even so, she wants to continue tanning before her planned vacation in a couple of week.

this is a sign of over exposure, too much too fast and also because she is NOT using lotion. tell her to take a day or two off and start back with lotion and cut her time back. if she continues to tan this way, it will only get worse. she has plenty of time to get good color, but if she continues that way (which she still might) she will dry out and peel and basically cancel out what she has gotten. she also needs a salon quality moisturizer to use several times a day to calm her skin like Angel or Krem.

how could she not be using meds when she just underwent major surgery!>? i assume she is using something making her skin more sensitive to uv light.
it sounds like she IS using a tanning lotion, correct? as you say "she's not using any lotions that could be causing this" this quote means, you know, what she's using, is'nt causing this, correct?
she's tanned before with no problems also, correct>? so, i assume she is using some med hindering her tanning....and making her so sensitive to slight burning.

It almost sounds like heat rash.

I agree.
too much , too fast.

Slow down her tanning regimen and time.
Add a salon lotion and moisturizer and she will see a big difference.
