I agree. I can not even touch the metal. I did not even run it at 24, maybe 18 and I just had to kill it. Inside was not bad. Just the metal works started to glow red.

A customer of mine use to have an old Ayk Turbo. (1986-88 beast)
Had 10 - 2000W lamps. Would meter about 85-95 at the body. It was 25 minutes per side. Yes 25 per side! You would come out with awesome color & mild dehydration. Granted there was very low UVB, we never did meter with a 6.0 or 7.0. They got about 15-16 years of use out of those. Drew Factor was 2125+ per side! You should be getting 110-120 mils with new Supras® on this unit. I do with performance clear in the outer door.
It will still hit 105-110 with the blue in the outer door. If you are not getting readings like this then your caps are shot, glass is solarized, and the reflectors are burned out. Could replace the rear part of the reflector as it just unscrews off the back. Could have also gotten dud ballasts as there was a run of these units that had bad ballasts and the ones that complained got changed and the ones that had no clue probably didn't. I remember pics of yours and they are different than the ones I get high readings on. I load them with 32µf of capacitance and 34µf on the three face positions for extra output there. Also, you need to duct the heat out and dump three tons of air in that room.

Missed your post, just read it now.
The outter glass is clear. Both the MUG and clear have been cleaned but the MUG is "burnt". That is there is some sorta residue that I could not clean off. Judging by the original lamps, this bed was severely deficient in cooling. The room it was in was also very undersized. The filters were packed solid with white dust. The caps are 30µf, they do not have the extra caps installed. I have not heard back from SunItalia on new filters, caps, etc. Going on over a month now. Ballasts are wired for 208, incoming is 210. I would hate to have to swap em all out. I have seen pics that show the new ballasts. Did not know there was a swap out that happened or I would have looked closer at this bed. So I may need new glass and new ballasts. I should get those additional caps. Where can I get the 2 and 3µf caps? Are new ballasts even an option?

clean the glass with some sanitizer. The white powder happens...it's from the lamps. just clean the glass and you're good to go. Rubbing alcohol also works....use a cleaning towel and put your back into it. Don't be tossing $80/glass just cuz there is some residue stuck on it. use your finger nail through the towel to scrape that stuff off.
I've heard lots of people quote what a bed should read, but hardly see people match those numbers too often. You'd have to rebuild the entire bed to get it to perform like new again. Not worth it.

Not worth it indeed I suspect.
I will re-clean the glass. I did use an industrial glass cleaner but I may let em soak and then take a blade to em.
