Well I knew this bed was coming the Bay Area, so I haven't tanned in 7 weeks so I could see how a white cat would do without a tan.
The bed can be adjusted from 60% - 100% by the customer and each lamp can be set by the salon. ie you can set 1 lamp to 50% if you wanted to or just set the lower 2 banks of lamps to 80% to reduce heat on the acrylic. I went the full 12 min at 100% on all lamps and I kept them at 100% the entire time to see if I would burn. I did not burn and I have a nice brown color from just 1 tan. I am going to go back and try it a couple more times to how much color I will get from 3 tans over the course of 10 days. |

I have used an older Matrix V28, it wasn't the newer version.
The L28 I used has the DEC tech in it with electronic ballasts. I don't think the V28 has the DEC option. The older Matrix V28 I used was meh. |

Not trying to hi-jack but I have inside information that soon Magic's will have a glass option that makes it more aggressive then even mug 6. But nothing outrageous. And still keep the high UVA. I can't wait to try that out.
I would like to know if new Matrix's are putting out more UVA these days.

The DEC system is available in the L28, V19 & L18 Glammy.
The V19 with DEC is a pretty awesome standup, 10 min session, closer to the lamps than the V28 ER, awesome output. There is a new Matrix L33 on the way also, a pissed off version. The L28 DEC pulls only 56 amps 3PH on full output. - Has less electrical componets, no ignitors, no capacitors, no heavy ballast. - Complete Lamp adjustability - No buck Boosters Needed, the DEC tech gives a constant steady output regardless of the voltage coming in. - Lamps are more instant on, no need to wait 3 minutes for all to ignite. - Less A/C needed as compared to similar HP machines.

No idea on the uva output. I didn't meter the bed as I only wanted to see if I could go the full 12 min and not burn.
I think we, as owners get too stuck on meter readings rather than results. This bed kicked ass, I am getter darker today and did not burn at the full time! Thats all a customer knows or cares about. Iso is coming out with some new green filter glass, no idea what it will change. |

Is it the color green, or enviro friendly "green".
Also, most of us care about meter readings, so if you could be a chum how's about taking your meter on your next visit? I'm really interested how the new reflectors perform. |

Green as in the color green, mirrored glass. Not sure what units this will be in.
The existing L28 DEC uses a newer style blue glass, not the old crinkley stuff.

John, Why is the DEC not available in the stronger stand-up unit(V28ER)? Can you explain why & how close the V19 compares to the L28? Debating on adding an HP unit to our current line up now(Stand-up is only option due to room size) or waiting to expand and add the lay-down. I really like the look of this line. Thanks for the help. Most likely won't make much difference. The L28 DEC has the new ER Reflector & lamps, the whole system is what makes it better. (Better cooling also)
Attached is the new style reflector.
