jamakinmetan, it is salon owners that don't even know the correct properties that their bed emit, that are the problem with salons today. You have salon owners that think because their beds have facials, they have a HP bed. We have salon owners that think their bed has no uvb. You have salon owners that this is just fun and games and have no clue on how and why a tanning bed tans you and we wonder why we are in the situation we are in today.
Every single tanning bed ever made has uvb. Some lower, some higher amounts but every single one has uvb. It would not tan you with out uvb. Uvb is what produces the melanin for the uva to oxidize, which is what an actual tan is. If the person that sold the Acclaim to you said the bed had no uvb, you need to slap him in the face for 1. telling you a lie, 2. selling you equipment that he has no clue about, 3. for selling you the acclaim to begin with. So the way that I see it, he deserves at least one slap and probably all 3.

Thanks for telling me the matrix L33 gets to hot and not good body cooling i wouldn't want that. Im expecting this bed to be busy i'll only have one so a good cooling bed would be best.
So now I have three choices i'll have to look for good deals!
The matrix L28 DEC, the Magic(my first choice) and the mastersun which i'm sure i won't find that cheap.
Thanks again for all the input you guys are great

***sigh*** why don't you TAN on a few before you make decisions based on what other people say?
I have a Matrix, and it only gets too hot WITHOUT proper AC or ventilation, it has been my most reliable bed by far. Bed gets over 100 hours/month of usage which boils down to about 12-18 sessions per day, most of them running consecutively during peak times.
It'll also tan you ass off. I'd rather have the Magic because of the lamp adjustability and longer lamp life, but you can't go wrong with a Matrix.
Having said that, I also have an HP standup that is less aggressive than the Matrix so I can satisfy most skin types in my HP units.

Re: which bed to purchase
Tan in a Magic without MUG6 and you'll probably have a good idea of what it would be like to tan on the surface of the sun. Hell, tan in a Saturn WITH MUG6 and you'll know what it feels like to have your skin MELT like Aaaanold in Total Recall

Re: which bed to purchase
Any of the 3 beds she has mentioned would be a good bed. Some of the old Matrix did have a heat problem and yes the Magic without Mug6 is a very hot bed. That is why I always tell someone, the Magic needs Mug 6 glass to make it a comfortable tan. If the Magic did not have Mug6, as well as I like it, I would not have one. With the Mug 6 glass it brings up the uvb and lowers the heat, not as high as the Matrix but not as low as the original Italian glass.

Re: which bed to purchase
Good grief, could we cover this topic any more? In the search there must be 50 threads of 1000's of posts on this.
Best HP bed
HP?
Which is best HP
Magic vs Matrix (fun fun)
Magic vs Sportawhatever (even more fun)
And hey...I got a slightly used LEONARDO bed from LOGIC-CAM for real cheap. (hope the search engines like that one )

The best one is the one you can sell tans in.

I never said it had no uvb.... i understand the way tanning beds tan you and I assure you that I am not one of the owners that just went into the business for the appeal of it! I have my masters training in smart tan, but im sure you will have something negative to say about that too. I personally love the acclaim, you have a different opinion. Leave it at that! Im sure you may have a bed that I don't like but I'm not gonna sit here and tell you how much they suck. And trust me, I know about owners thinking that if their beds have facials they think they have a high pressure machine, i'm dealing with that with my competition. I know what I have and I know what it does, I guess I did not convey that in the previous post. Never said no uvb.
