| Veteran | Salon about an hour drive away from me has one, my very fair girlfriend is using it ( she lives in that town), She had to start out at 5 minutes, because she kept burning. she got up to 9 minutes and realy burned. I saw her the day after and she was burned. I am familiar with with the uvb% output of the Magic 636 and the King as I'm looking to purchase one, I am fair as well and never burned In James Magic the full 12 min session, Whats the UvB output of the Saturn? |

I am sure someone from Miracle Sun here could clear that up, I don't know if that is right for sure. |

| Moderator | If the unit is new I would suggest for the first 50 hours to tan people not at full session. This cures the glass so to speak. After the first 50 hours you can people at regular times. Burnt. Are you sure it isnt IR heat rash or is it a full out skin pealing look? When I first went into my Saturn, I went for 10 mins and I got what I refer to IR heat rash. Which makes the skin look red but no skin UV B damage pealing. I put some Cal Tan Insurance on it and it took the heat away and the next day I was fine and had a tan for like 5 days. |

| Veteran | could possilby be heat rash. It looked red like a burn and she said her skin felt tight, like a burn, I only saw if for a few seconds down the side of her arm to armpit. I saw her the day after her session. She did however use a tingle lotion that day but she said she started her first session at 5 minutes and has worked her way up to 9 minutes over 5 sessions. She did not use a tingle lotion before and said she would still burn. Even her Hubby is burning and he is skin type 3. |

| Moderator | Yea That isnt a UVB burn , it is a heat rash type of feeling. Thats what I thought. I will have someone from Miracle Sun tech come on and explain. This kind of rash is common in most High Presssure units. Most HP beds will give you that heat rash near the mid section of the body |

Just turn the bed down somewhat so the output is where you want it on the meter until the glass "breaks in". Then turn it up a bit more. That is the way I do it. Magic, Saturn's and so on are like Ferrari's. You gotta tune them if you want peak performance. -James |
