| HP and good VHR tanning beds actually can reduce your traffic flow. And that is wonderful. You know why? Because with good beds and a smart pricing structure you eliminate your come-in-every-day tanners. But the most incredible thing is what happens to your bank account. While seeing less people, you are generating tremendously more revenue per tan! Do you know if your salon sees only an average of 75 people a day year round for a total of 27,000 tans and you do $13 per tan, your little 8 bed salon is doing over $350,000. Add some good EFT to it and your numbers will go past $400,000. Expand your space, add some more beds and increase your traffic by only 20 people a day and now you're doing half a million $$ with only a 12-15 bed salon. And you're not working all that hard to boot trying to see 500 people a day during March/April. This is the power of big beds! Get them, don't discount them - sell them for what they're really worth, and watch yourself become more successful than you can imagine. This will build you up and the whole tanning industry's reputation. Whatever you do though, don't play the lowest pricing game - that is what can kill our great industry. |

I don't remember reading very much of Leif's post, but from talking to people, I understand that he is a smart cookie in this industry... __________________ ![]() ~~Flashback from 2001~~ 'OLE' BRUCE THOUGHT THIS FUNNY |

| Moderator | Never put Alex and Leif in the same catagory. but now that I think about they do have a lot of the same ideas. Leif has helped a lot of people get started as I am sure Alex has too. It would have been great to have known either one of them when I opened my first salon. Don`t know if Alex would have been any help then because he was probably still being potty trained. ![]() |

| Moderator | Alex has salons in Atlanta Ga. and Leif had (and may still have) salons in California. Leif made the Dr. Muller name what it is today. He taught me alot and I am thankful to have had him for a friend. He spends most of his time on his yaht but he still manages to come to trade shows sometimes. |
