Default Help with session charges on new Magic 636

My Magic 636 arrives in 2 weeks. I was wanting to know what the rest of you charge to use this unit. Does session or minutes work out better with this bed? My Dist. says to charge $ 2.50 per minute.

My demos for my area are:
5 mile radius
  • Population: 40, 805
  • Households: 16,545
  • Average age: 37
  • Avg income: $ 46,234
  • employees: 30,498
  • daily street traffic: 29,670
your thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated. This is my first Hp.

thanks,
Tonya

Never do minutes on high pressure equipment.

A customer needs the full time, if you sell by the minute the will only go half the time and not see didly squat in results.

You don't need them bad mouthing your brand new $30k HP unit to people that have never got in to the unit.

1 - $35
4 - $100
10- $200
20- $350

Uprgade form your EFT program = $20-$25 range

OMG!! You are buying a new 636 and asking if you charge minutes!!!!!

Who is selling you this bed!! Are they giving you training, set-up, and so on. They should be able to answer any of these questions. If you don't know this, you definetly won't know how to sell this bed unless your distributor shows you.

I am not trying to be rude. But if this is your first HP, there is much, much to learn or you will shoot yourself. There should be someone there for at least a day training you and your staff on how to sell this.

Scary. WHO IS SELLING YOU THIS BED?? I am choked at whoever is if this is the case.

I'm sure that no one in your area has anything like this.

I would do:

1 for $30.00
3 for $75.00
10 for $199.00

No minutes ever on HP

Never go lower than 20.00 per session on at least a 20 session package or higher!

Always charge at least 35.00 on a single session or higher on a bed like the Magic because it will show people the real value of buying a package with you.

Forget how many people live in your town or how much they make because you bought a Hign End piece of Tanning equipment so make your

back on it.

Thanks everyone, your comments have helped me so much. I feel in love with this bed in Nashville 2003, and this year I ordered it in Orlando. I watch for a year and read everyones post on the Hp's trying to educate myself. I do have alot to learn, let alone educate my staff and market this baby! I had to add another 400 amp service and 4 ton a/c unit, plus the cost of the bed. So any help with selling tips for me and my staff would be great.

Natureboy, I remember reading back some time ago in a thread about you trying to get some marketing things and a 3 fold to hand out. Did you ever get those made up, and would you mind maybe sharing them with me. My email is suntan4fun@yahoo.com.

Thanks so much everybody,
Tonya

Who are you purchasing bed from?? Dist. Or direct. I will be receiving this bed in a month. This includes 2 days of onsite training. I've been dealing with Patrick and have been more then pleased. And this bed has well out performed anything on the market that I have tried (360 that is). And a thousand hours (on average) for the bulbs is $$$$$ saved.

Yes - per session (not minutes) are the way to go with HP, even if you discount session costs with packages.

However the above statement about "going full time" will get you in trouble if you don't follow the ramp-up shorter ISTs per FDA exposure schedule label along with evaluating skin type and base tan level.

This thing is NOT an old UB818 with very low UVB.

120 on a 5.0 with a 10 minute (and the new 1.0% glass) max will work great for almost all skin types. Type II skin, start them at 8 mins. No problem.

Just keep those lamps on the back turned down.
