Default hp and facials question

I know that a typical Hp unit it would take 3-5 full sessions in 10 days to get your color, and 2-3 sessions per month to keep it, basicaly one session every 10 days. so would it be safe to asume, if using a base tanning bed with 400 wt plus facials, once you reached maximum session time, You should only use the facial unit on once every 10 days, and not each session which would be 2-3 sessions a week on a base 100 watt lamp unit? I know when I was first buying my equipment, the dealer was promoting the no facial units in my sundash beds as a plus because customers using facial units get 400 - 1000 watts on there face each session, this causing aging and wrinkling.

Are Facials in base beds the very same HP lamps as in full HP units?

No difference, most entry level beds have 400-600W HP Facials. Many OLD Full HP units use the same 400W clip ins all over. Newer HP beds tend to use better filters with a 800-1200W lamp.

so then it would be safe to asume salons with facial units should educate customers on the use of a facial, similar to the use of an HP unit, and advise them not to use it every session once they have reached max time in units?

Tammy, I think you know I don't have beds with HP facials. But my guess is that because usually the facial is 400 watts or so, total UV output over the lenght of the session is not the same as doing 1000-1200 watt HP lamp sessions. I guess it would also depend on the glass used in the facial and it UVB %. I would think using them every time would make no difference or be any better than turning them off ever other session.

But maybe someone with them would have a better answer to this.
