Biggest difference between a tanning client and a salon owner...They don't go shopping to buy tanning beds. 99% of them find the salon nearest them go tan and if the place is nice and they get a tan they stay. Most have never even seen more that one or two HP beds in their life, in fact the vast majority of them have never even tried on before. Now Europe...whole different world. ![]() |

| Rookie Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 6 | Sorry to hear everyone is so negative about this unit. I have several salons and have been in the business since 1990. I am also a registered tech for several manufacturers and after dealing with so many of the problems from all the manufacturers, it is a good welcome for me to see this unit. A lot of the manufacturers build good tanning beds but they are not always easy or affordable to work on. I will not drop names of equipment that totally suck as far as repair/parts/assembly/electrical issues.... but there are a lot of them that are just trash after they break.. It will cost you a lot of money to fix some of the other HP units on the market. I can say that the only Sportarredo equipment that I get calls on are about 8 years old before they need a part replaced.... and it is always something simple to fix. Sorry if i make anyone mad but I have several Ergo beds that are always needing something fixed on them and yet I do not ever have to fix my Sportarredo beds. Lots of good tanning beds on the market...just would not buy some of them due to guaranteed future problems. Just speaking from a techs point of view. |

Any bed that can be put out of commission cause the TV IS BROKEN is completely missing the point of tanning IMO. |

Way too much plastic. Wouldn't even think about having that in the salon when we offer the King for high pressure. And for the price...that confirmed it for not buying something like that. Can get the King for basically that amount. If you have cheaper beds with all plastic and not quality made, then this would be the best of the best of plastic beds and would recommend that for you if that's what works for you. If you prefer higher quality made beds, then this will cheapen your salon I think. My comments are now up to 3cents....my 2 cents were put in earlier on this post. Dean |

| Rookie Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 6 | I was told the bed is 90% Metal and it just has some molded platic pieces just for looks. I do not see what the big deal is?? Everything we use: cars/boats/appliances/phones/computers--- anything and everything is made of plastic.. Is it good quality plastic or cheap $1 store quality?? I am sure this bed is not sold at the $1 Store.... |

You should get about 700-800 hours out of the lamps. There are people running Sportarredo Extasy units getting a 1,000 hours out of the high pressure lamps in those units. |

| VENDOR Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 385 | As a vendor it is really hard to launch new first time unproven high pressure units into the market. We figured this out years ago. Salon owners sometimes do not like to purchase a new unit for $30,000.00. They feel like they are the guinea pig. So once they put out a hand full of units to their close customers, and start to work out any kinks if any. This will also give salon owners a chance to see the durability of the plastic that is used, how the unit tans, any hot spots, etc... It is really hard to build a high pressure unit these days with lots of plastic parts on it, because plastic normally breaks down under lots of heat, and UV. Your low pressure big VHR beds have a better chance, since the heat is not as intense. I'm not saying this unit will discolor, get spider cracks, etc... Just some concerns we have also experienced in the past from listening to salon owners, and what concerns they have.
