Cooling in the bed was less than desired in this level and pricing of equipment. A large table fan was located at the head of the bed, and produced a chilling neck-ache afterwards, with no benefit to the lower body at all. It felt similar to the first few Magic 636 units with the original 'Italian Blue Glass' installed. Guess they had to go with the stronger lamp, as the canopy is so far away from the body though. |

No it doesnt have a high UVB output (only 1%) The lamps are underpowered because the bed only requires 600W's and they dont make a 600W lamp so you power the 1000W lamp at 600W and you get a longer lamp life. If you used a 500W lamp in the canopy you would be overpowering it by 100W which would lower the lamps life Actually the bed is quite cool and comfortabe with the fan at the end

By the way, if anybody's interested I have a brand new HPO, still in the box, never installed - we ran into financial problems, now have to sell. Great investment - will sell 10K cheaper... |

The top uses a 1000W plug in & the Bench is a 500W plug in. Both have special Keyed bases. This Poll is lame, all it shows is that people who own the Saturn posted on tanningsalonowners.com. I like the Saturn & agree that it is a great unit, but this is like Milwaukee's Best claiming they were voted America's best tasting beer. What's funny is that they use this in their advertisements in the magazines. Yet they don't tell you only 51 people voted. (or .001% of salon owners) __________________ Last edited by John : 2nd January 2007 at 04:06 PM. |

Boat Anchor®. ![]() Look into Saturn for standup HP and Magic for laydown 360° HP. The rest are just toys.

Well I guess boat anchor's tan extremely well because I guarantee you that the Entropy and the convex will out meter and out tan any HP on the market. As far as the heat its not an issue if you have proper a/c and a body cooling fan for the client. Any bed is hot if you dont have those two things. I set up a salon that only has 3 tons of a/c for 2 high pressure beds, a large VHR and a small bed. Obviously thats not enough air so all the beds feel hot. I have The THP-24 (Matress version of the Convex) , A SunSport and a Chronos and most of my clients want to use the THP because it provides a cooler sessions than the other two but with better results. So how is it I have 3 choices for my clients in HP equipment and they all want the Tanses because its cooler yet you still have people on here saying they are to hot. Could it be that im actually providing the proper cooling for mine??? Or could it be that you actually have no idea what your talking about?? Last edited by certan : 10th August 2007 at 10:40 AM.

Matress is a 20 min session 360 is a 10 min session so there is still almost the same amount of heat in the room by the end of the session. I have tanning in the convex and the entropy and with propper cooling it provides a very comfortable session.
