| UV Geek Squad Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lake St Clair Posts: 3,327 | A fine German company named Schott uses beer mugs like this: ![]() to craft HP lamp glass filters. The old MUG-2 was made from two warm beer mugs and blocked a lot of UVB. The newer MUG-6 is made from six frosted beer mugs and transmits more UVB. They have many more MUG pieces you can find on a google search. |
