| Got a friend who has a velocity. Is there any way to make this unit perform better? I heard something about bumping up volts from 230 to 240. will this help? Don't care about voiding warrentee as I think is done anyways. Any different glass? Any suggestions would be helpful |

I would be concerned bumping the voltage up may cause even more unwanted heat in the unit. You could most likely find some new glass, but the unit would need to be recertified. __________________ |

Cove...if it had cooling issues, doesn't it have exhaust you can connect to exhaust the heat out? IF it does have cooling issues then upping the voltage would really be a concern. Glass can be changed to allow more UVB through for stronger results....but i'll tell you what, that doesn't do a huge difference either, nothing to pee your pants over, so i'd say if she can sell it cheap to someone and get rid of it, that would be her best bet. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Provided she has it exhausted and cooled very well to begin with and is in a large room with at least 3 tons going in there. It all depends on her set up on what she can risk with uping the voltage. |

It isn't a POS, it is just supposed to be a lower priced hp unit...was designed to sell at 30k...and was supposed to have a moveable arm that went up.....that said , the lamps were all supposed to be closer to the body , but in its setup now, it is no better than an average vhr with lower uv-b lamps. It works, just not a good investment. |
