| Yes it would....my King is at approx 110 at the acrylic.....and blows over (like a drunken whore) when nearing the lamp.

But you might have to wait for lamp break-in at 30-50 hours before the readings settle down to what other folks consider "normal". Meantime - you can go borrow someone's HOT NEW LAMPS neon sign! ![]() |

Just put in some Supra Lamps on a Magic in the OC..set the taps to 1 and it was reading 168 at the belt buckle. Oh, and the 7.0 was reading apx 3 MEDS at 10 mins...I suggested he make ten the max for all new people with a base tan..and only let the existing vhr customers upgrade to the 12 mins. Damn!!!!! But he was still tanning people at 12 mins ($40 bucks a pop)...and no one had problems.....good AC, good room make up air, plus the fan that comes with the bed...and OH, he has misters...so you CAN cool down a bit. Freaking great tanning bed. Should see a new look for it come Nashville. Good bye blue.....hello PEARL WHITE and frosted acrylic. (I hope) Last edited by Drew : 20th February 2007 at 10:07 AM. |

But we'll see. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Your dreaming 168. There is no way the radiant heat wouldn't be too much on the stomach from that even with mug 6. My magics are in 13x13 rooms with 8 foot walls to a 12 foot ceiling and 3.5 tons of air per room coming directly in and the beds are exhausted so cooling is not a problem and anything over 135, clients complain left and right. Unless people here are more white ass and can't handle it, but radiant heat is radiant heat.

UVA stays the same though, producing a beautiful BROWN color. Last edited by sparky : 20th February 2007 at 03:53 PM. |

This more then makes up for the initial Mug 6 investment.

Just making a point to how long the lamps actually last in this unit at the recommended output of 130 mw. Isn't adjustability nice!? Bump it up as you go. Easily get 1200 hours on a set of lamps with proper A/C setup. |

| UV Geek Squad Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lake St Clair Posts: 3,327 | Drew's 168 is believable and so is Digital Bob's 148 reading. Looky here: ![]() That's a 5.0 HP meter... which climbs above 200 if you stick it to the glass (or climb atop Mt Hood with a black lab) - hence™ no decimal point. It kinda all depends on lamp age and mfgr, tap setting, incoming V, and cleanliness. You can see that this bed is really clean. Narry a paw print or dust bunny to be seen anywhere. What is it Richard Nixon used to say?:.... "Meters don't lie - liars meter" ... wait > was it "I'm not a crook"? You see - thats the fun part (and the crappy part) about UV meters. People like to think... or hope... that all Magic HP's read 142 at 10 hours. Or all Ergoline 160W LP's read 34.7 at 10 hours. Not true. As my great grampa used to say when he was still kicking: It all depends. ![]() |
