Who set this up? Was the motor ever working when the stop button was pushed? if not, or if you are not sure. It could be hooked up wrong to the control board. If you have the older version with the grey box, the breaker should flip. If you have the newer version, then the breaker is on the back tray, and it should flip. If not, someone bypassed the stop button. The other thing you can do, is hook up a power drill battery to the contacts of the regular battery and see if it works. If it does not work it is the stop button or the RE relay.

P.S- Mostly I just sale, but beyond this I must pass to a tech...

The Mug6 glass shattered and it stopped the lamps from working. She pressed the Emergency Stop cuz she got freaked out from the Glass breaking (what's up with that??? 4 days in).

The glass was installed properly. I slide the glass in but i press the clip down with a mini screwdriver so that there is no pressure on the glass, this way the glass slides in. I remove and clean the glass frequently and have mastered the glass thing as i have broken quite a few just by trying to slide them in....pressure from the clips shatter the glass upon sliding them in. The screwdriver pressing down on the clip as you slide has never failed me.

Al, when the glass breaks it flips the red light on and shuts all the lamps off....it doesn't trigger the emergency stop breaker. The customer pressed the Emergency Stop and the bed didn't go up cuz either the battery backup is dead or the charger is screwed and not charging the battery which is why it's dead.

But why would the glass break? We had it setup correctly with exchaust and china caps/vents on the outside to stop from backdraft.

Al, do you have a 5 day warranty on the glass? It's only been 4 days.......

When I've done glass removal/cleaning I've found that using a long-nose pliers and removing the clip completely is a sure-fire way to NOT scratch the glass at all.

Takes a little bit longer to complete the task, but at ~$100 per sheet, ..............

Went through a few pieces at first, before this procedure was worked out, but no problems whatsoever in the past 2 years.

Al - Is that a Makita Battery, Milwukee, or DeWalt ??? does it matter for testing purposes

The MUG 6 is a very strong tempered glass. It would take some pressure to break it. I was just giving you some options to look at for the battery back up. If you can't trouble shoot it, call your tech, or ours. This can easily be fixed over the phone by a tech. At least you have tons of extra Italian glass to keep you running. The MUG 6 comes straight from Schott glass, I will ask them what their policy is. Worst case, I will split the cost with you at 90.00. This would cost you 45.00, way below my cost. I will also split the shipping with you. email me when you want another piece.

Sparky, Makita or Dewalt is my choice.....

Not many, if any. To expensive, it is 4 times the cost of the Italian glass.

Jon, your Sunsports use mug6.

Listen rookies.....Glass is kinda a fragile thing when the lamp is running at 1,800 degrees farenheight.

If there is ANY defect in the glass....the high heat and cooling will cause it to break within a few days....if it makes it a couple weeks...it will make it a long time.

Any tiny hairline imperfection in the glass will cause it to shatter when new.

Also, cleaning it and leaving moisture in the casettes can cause it to break too.....also, dirty foam filters or bad air flow.

Lamps on the foot will not be higher than in the middle unless the bed is adjusted wrong...or maybe possible.....just the difference in the lamps....Do what Al said...move the middle lamps down and the foot lamps up....this will often make them meet in the "middle output"...if it doesn't,,,then you have your adjustments screwed up even if you think you don't.

Canadians read right to left .....correct? Or is that Jews? I get them confused after Morie.

The Mug 6 is much more fragile then the clear. When cleaning, remove only the clear from the cassette so you can clean in between. The clear is much more stable and will tolerate constant removal without breaking.

I have had Mug 6 sitting on the table, just sitting there just shatter for no reason. Not just out of a hot bed, not cleaned, not touched, just blow up for no reason. You probably had a bad piece of glass.

Brian...again you need to READ...I said the clear glass was closest to the client and if it broke the bed would continue to run because the sensors are only on the glass closest to the lamp... READ!

It's like placing a frying pan on your leg. that can get a little uncomfortable. When ppl shift in the bed and move their legs around cuz they are piercing skin hot......maybe i should give them a tingle to put on their legs too. Maybe it will counter react the heat somehow.

on our Magic we keep the lower portion of the body at least 2-3 levels below the upper body and facial levels. I would suggest keeping those lamps at level 2-3 for a few days and see the results.

even dropped down you should get 85-100+ Mw output, more than enough for a great tan WITHOUT laser surgery

you want added UVB for your legs?????

Try a session in our Classic Legs tanning unit. Great boost for your next HP session to boot!

no. just don't arbitrarily set every lamp to the max! One of the best options on these beds is the ability to set each lamp separately for most pleasure and comfort. even on the lowest settings, it puts out more than most other HP or VHR in UVA out there.

legs are just harder to tan in the first place. women exfoliate, and men are usually slightly more hairy in those regions. Plus, there's a lot less body fat on 'most' clients legs, so less melanin, also it can be more sensitive.

balance the whole piece of equipment so it gets useed and used well.

the other item, is we only offer the Magic at 10 min sessions and get rave results. those last 2 minutes might get touchy for some. I personally do 12's all the time with no issues whatsoever.

P.S. Though a leg tanner IS a great addition to an HP salon :hinthint: If you've got Mystic, many clients doing the spray may have issues with tanning beds, but will jump into a leg session before a spray. just a thought.
