MUG 6 Glass.... - TanToday - Helping Salon Owners, One At A Time, Since 2000!

So i broke down and called a couple days ago to order MUG 6 for the KING. I have waiting long enough. Now they told me that their order is coming in 2-3 weeks from now. POOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......i don't want to wait that long now. I've waited so long and i know another 2-3 weeks won't make a diff. at this point, but when i get something in my head, i want it RIGHT NOW.......I want to call and have it the next day!!!!

So there is only 1 place that sells this stuff????? I need 19pieces. (cuz the facial can't be changed...it's slotted filters. 2000W. or is there a different one for the face?...)

I know from my box, it comes from Scott Glass in New York. Weither or not anyone can just buy from them, not sure.

that's the shipping point for Schott Glass.

Simple answer to your dilemma is that you should have placed the order three weeks ago, you'd already have the glass in hand

Facials are just fine as is. already MUG6 in the 'slats'

The Magic comes with filter slats in the facials. We changed it out with

the flat Mug 6 glass filters with out a problem. Both of my Magic"s have

the flat Mug 6 in the facials. The reason that I don't like the slat type

filters is that one of the slats can break and the bed will keep on running.

In fact with my newest Magic, the bed did just that. Once we had the bed

installed and turned it on the first time to test it, we could see that the

third slat was broken.

If some one had been tanning, they might of been injured.

If the single filter is in place and it breaks, the bed shuts off.

Does Mug 6 makes a difference on Susport Platinum (and what diff) since there is no heat coming from the bottom of the unit? Is original italian glass just fine in mattress units?

No, the platinum gives hot spots too. Mug 6 fixed that problem right away. A mattress unit only offers more space and a more luxurious feel compared to 360's....the hot spots are still there.

So I called and spoke with big AL at Miracle Sun and he took my order and is shipping out my Mug 6 TODAY........

That's right, I, DIN have now gotten with the program and purchased Mug 6 glass.

UV2021, Toronto, Drew, Natureboy......You hear that.....all those comforting words for the last 2 years telling me to buy Mug 6 and me not listening to you.....Well your little boy is growing up. Are ya proud of me now?!?!?!?!

Al, if ya wanna throw in any free HP beds or something like that with my order for good measure and friendship, i'd appreciate it......thanks again.

no, uses same schedule. I wonder if lamp suppliers send out lamp compatibility sheets when they sell hp lamps for our beds. People think just because they are FDA approved they are compatible. But I guess no inspector is going to make the salon owner open up the cartridge to see what lamp is in there.

If it's any better......my King does say Magic when it talks....it has the Magic voice chip.

And in Europe, on the internet....my bed is called the Magic 420. not the King. I think the King was Al's idea

Al, are you sending me 2 extra columns i can ductape to this unit? I already have the voice chip and control board. Just need a new sticker.

That would for sure not make it compliant.... but, maybe the inspector would not notice the duct tape if you paint it metallic silver.

The BLUE SLAT glass has about HALF the uv-b of the mug 6 glass. Which is the correct B amount for the face which is thiner skin and more sensitive. Plus, the lower drying of less b leaves a longer tan. Also, slat glass will cool more efficiently than single sheet. The 2k lamps will break a single sheet of glass much more easily than the slat glass. Slat glass just needs to be secured with clear silicone so as not to have it slip and slide around.

Lastly, the Mug 6 is NOT the main ingredient in uv-b output. The Clear glass is the major B reducer. Blue is mostly for heat reduction (which is why the Italian glass sucks..it is very thin vs the mug 6) and visible light reduction so as not to blind people.
