BTW i am going to be purchasing 2 360s next year and will definetely be testing the the new magic but gr8 customer support and service after the sale the most important factor on any tanning machine. I will be doing my due diligence on any company i do business with. I had Orbits which performed well but when i expaned didnt consider their new line because company didnt care about their after sales relationship and support. Tan America is the best company in service i have been associated with. Doesnt mean i will be buying their new Solarux x2 but if the bed performs it will be near the top of my list.UWE doesnt have a 360 and maybe stretched on quick support now but they have always been there even if the support call is not returned immediately, it is returned later or next day and they will take care of you. When i buy a bed i look at it as buying into the company. At this stage i have not researched Sportarredo, Sun Italia, URI,tanses. Ive done a little reasearch on Ergoline. Unfortunately Mystic Tan doesnt have a 360 . Their support and customer service is excellent.QDM lost my business when i expanded because of terrible after sales support and service.The beds performed well but if a company doesnt care after the sale, i will not be doing business with them again.
Weather has been gr8 this past week and busy season is here.Going to the salon To Open up. Hope its a sunny day today

It would be kind of hard doing business with QDM since they closed up 5-years ago.

Ok Steve here are some more numbers. I did these readings while we were closed so a little more complete picture.

I do readings at 2 min, 5 min and 8 min...to show whole picture.

Settings on machine Body-4 Face-5
2min 7.0 meter = 32 top 12.6 bottom
5.0 = 129.3 top 68.1 bottom

5min 7.0 = 22.4 top 11.6 bottom
5.0 = 125.1 top 64.3 bottom

8min 7.0 = 20.1 top 12.6 bottom
5.0 = 120.8 top 57.3 bottom

Now putting the settings at 8 everywhere the readings are...

2 min 7.0 = 31.1 top 15.1 bottom
5.0 = 131 top 73.7 bottom

5min 7.0 = 21.7 top 15.0 bottom
5.0 = 129.9 top 78.8 bottom

8min 7.0= 19.7 top 12.9 bottom
5.0 = 129.7 top 76.7 bottom

And Sparky...again are those brackets on the outside or inside of the skins?

Thanks

Well - first of all, as you know, LP beds don't change so much from 2-5-8 minutes. They do fall off some, but not a lot.

HP beds do fall off more as heat builds up. Do the other 636 beds have a similar change? I don't know. Maybe some other owners can do the same test and see.

Anyway.... for the top, using the 5 minute readings as an average - the 5.0 meter UVA is a bit less on setting 4 than Bob and Brian got... but not by much. The 7.0 MED/hr readings are higher than they got. Your bed is delivering 4 MEDs in only 10 minutes wheras they were over 12 minutes.

Other than that... I don't see anything weird - or bad enough to obviously point toward some lack of output problem. It would seem that types 3C-4 would like the tanning results... but types 2-3B would prefer less UVB (less MED/hr).

And since you've indicated heat from some areas is too much... perhaps thicker clear glass (if available and if it fits) would help both conditions: less MED/hr and less heat without hurting UVA much if at all.

When I take readings, I let the bed warm up and just keep checking with the 5.0 meter until it stops climbing, then take all readings at that point. I don't watch the clock, just the highest possible output.

The two guys above are the bed experts... not me. Anything over a meter 9-Volt battery is their baily-wick. I deal in milli (1/1000th) and micro (1/1000000th) of a watt.

Ok, what is wrong with these numbers? This is what you have been complaining about?? Matrix owners would kill for those numbers.

Solarmeter, her bed is a year old and Bob's is brand new. Her readings are going to be lower than Bob's if they are both set at the same level. I thought when we stared this thread, she stated the bed would only do around 100 and even on the highest level would not hit 130. Now it is hitting near 130 on the 4 and five setting. Which one is it.

I've done some changing of the equipment to get better output.

But the real concern is the stripes down the sides of each persons body, the different color from the front to back of people. Which I think these numbers reflect that issue...(that no one else seems to be seeing??????)

Sparky,
I have that bracket on the top, but mine is not fitting like yours shows. The nuts do not fit up into those cutouts like yours do.

From what I can see on the base we have that same fitting issue. Also, the acrylic posts and acrylic bar busted on my machine...could that be a result of the banks not fitting properly??

Thanks

The numbers on the bottom are a little low but the advantage of this bed is that you can raise different lamps to suit what you want. Any other bed you can only get one setting. Boost the bottom lamps up to get what you want. As far as striping on the
sides, I don't know of any bed that gets perfect coverage 360 degrees around the body. How hard is it to turn on one side or the other to even out the tan. Any bed that I have ever used needed some time on the sides to even the tan out.

You told us that the bed was only on 100 and even at the maximum level, would not get to 130. Now on level 4 with 4 more levels to go it is at 129. Which one is correct?

#1) It has nothing to do with how hard it is to turn over and everything to do with the clients perception of the machine...IF I PAY TOP DOLLAR - I WANT TOP DOLLAR PERFORMANCE.
#2) I'm not talking evening out...Im talking NO COLOR on the sides!

Im busy so need to go.

From the other site.... your sideways readings were awful. Almost no UVA or MED/hr pointing sideways. My response from over there:

Quote:
Shari:

The bottom acrylic-off readings are almost the same bottom as acrylic-on ones, so no problem there.

The sideways readings are horrible. Maybe Sparky or Brian can take some on other 636's and compare. Anyway... that explains bad tanning results on customers' sides. Doesn't explain "striping" - but definately better side output would help.

How to get that I have no idea.... but hopefully Sun Italia (or Miracle Sun) would. Probably ALL 360° HP beds have less sideways UV... but yours is almost nothing!

The side numbers:

Quote:
At the side, the readings in that area where I am seeing the problems...the meter read on a 7.0 = 2.7 to 7.0 and on a 5.0 = 11.2 to 19.9.
I think your current upper/lower readings are pretty typical... lower a little low... but sideways are virtually nothing. Nobody has ever posted side readings (from any kind of bed) - so we're charting new territory here.

Shari, Looks like you have three options.

1.) Call Patryk, he's still waiting.
2.) Don't settle w/ Patryk, and use the money to hire someone else.
3.) Sell the unit, and buy a Leonardo

Side readings on King......on the 5.0 is at 19 - 22. On the acrylic angling up the meter to the lamps. If i raise the meter to belly button height, it will meter higher, 90's....but the actual sides of the customer, the readings are 19-22 like yours Jones. Getting striping also. put washers and angle the internal reflector and see if that helps only on the 2-3 side lamps per side as you don't want to angle the entire column. At least i don't, cuz i have the contoured acrylics on the King. I will be doing that very soon. When i change lamps like next week.

Let me know if it works out for you......striping for me from what i see is caused from the contoured acrylics, the sides of the body drop well below the lamps and don't get as strong colour. By angling the reflector, i'd think it would help. Your Magic doesn't have contoured acrylics, so i don't know why....but you could try the same thing....got nothing to lose, everything to gain.
