The facial lamps on the board run at a lower wattage than the ones by the foot do....causing the lamp to run less hot. The vent design on the board means that each lamp gets room temp air right on it...even adding in the mix of warm air from the other lamps...this lamp is far far far from being over heated. How would I say this Paulie? Because I have a Saturn, using the same lamps...which is a straight column where the air gets hotter and hotter towards the top. And guess what, lamp life isn't effected by this. Neither is output. In fact, the smaller heraeus lamps would be negatively effected on the BOTTOM lamp where the cool air would hit it. Anyway...smaller lamps are designed to run hotter...or used in over cooled areas so as to heat up at the same rate. Smaller lamps will not last as long and or get "pregnant". The Plus lamps will last about HALF as long, but hey, its your money....buy what you want. Lastly, from experience with my board, and all the plusses out there that use or used other lamps....it don't make no difference!!! And the warmer supras make the need for the little lamps a non factor. Just reality, not marketing, not spin. Just a fact. Last edited by Drew : 7th July 2007 at 12:28 PM. |
