Default Is this Suicide

I always hate the money back guarantee, but I'm considering doing it with the Magic. Set up the program where they must tan at least 3 times within 10 days. Must use a sticker that I can see, and must use a lotion approved by me. I wouldn't open it up to those that are already tan, but for people that are semi pale.

I tanned in the magic for the 2nd time yesterday with just an accelerator and I'm really starting to see the color.

If they don't follow my rules, then all bets are off.

What do you think? Suicide? Should I just take off the blue filters and lay under the bed for 12 mins??

you can guarantee anything you want - guaranteed tan in 7 days or your money back kind of thing - and like you said - do everything you suggest or no deal - it's how you put it that becomes the issue if anyone actually calls you on it.
we have someone in our area that guarantees not to burn or your money back - and we have alot of people coming in here because they got burned at the other place - (their guarantee is only good on their HP bed tho)

I wouldn't do it personally. It's all perceptions.

If there is an outline where the sticker was thats all that matters to me. Thats not perception. Thats fact

You will have a paley-pale girl say "where I don't see anything?" or "that's not what IIIIIII call a tan!" or "so what, I'm still pale!"

i wouldnt offer it either unless you can really PROVE that they are more tan than before. it would be really easy to just not wear the sticker. i think it would be best to have the TanTone system if you were going to offer a guarantee like that; so you can actually prove the results

The great confidence builder in this product is YOU and your staff!

Face it - until last week, you have NOT personally believed in this bed! You have gone MONTHS without tanning and said you were "really pale" -- that doesn't inspire confidence in ANY of the equipment!

You have to KNOW this bed -- and your lotions -- and ANY of your equipment -- is "worth it". If not, you will struggle.

You KNOW this bed works now. Stop being afraid of it. Go in the full 12 minutes. Wear a sticker. Use a good, accelerating lotion with no DHA. Go again two - three days later with a SECOND sticker (so you see one visit, two visits). Ditto a third. Put your stickers where your CUSTOMERS can see them and show it off (note - stomach area just above or below the waistline is great). And convince YOURSELF and your staff that it is unbelieveable.

Money back guarantee is not needed.

Not a great place if your belly hangs over your waistline. Time to do the Atkins diet again

Ha Ha Shane!

Just re-read my reply. I have a habit of using caps to try to give "affect" to my words -- kinda like talking with your hands. One would think I was Italian but I'm just emphatic/passionate.

That said -- didn't want to come off that I was "yelling" or "berating" EliteMike. More like trying to get you excited, motivated, pumped up. It is HARD (there I go on those caps again!) being a new owner and no matter how much anyone "tells" you anything, some of it you just kind of stumble into along the way.

So what I meant to be saying was - "YEA for EliteMike! You see your bed is now working! You are excited! Others will see this and it will be contagious! Go Mike Go!"

See - that was better

I'm gonna put a sticker on my butt and then show people how well it works, so I can say kiss my ASS when you say you didn't get anything from it.

You and your staff need to get behind this bed and sell the fcuk out of it. That's the only way to do it. Explain the benefits, give some free upgrades so people can try it no cost from their package. That's what I do with some of my larger equipment.

8 out of 10 will buy higher when the time comes, some do it right as they come out of the bed.

I'll respond to the problem with upselling to existing clients. If i put one of my die hard tanners in the magic, they hate it. If i put someone in there that is basically as dark as they can get, they will not see the benefit because they are in the wrong mindset. No matter what I tell them. They come in the next time and say, thats not worth 30 bucks or whatever. Most of my beds are lower UVB in the first place. My sol glass bed is probably as good or better than The velocity down the street.

Now what I'm focusing on more is the people that aren't really tan. They see the benefits much easier.

I'm not worrying about how to sell the bed, that part is starting to come easier for me.

"IF" you decide to do this make it 3 tans every other day, and give them 7 days JUST INCASE they can't make it one day.

The sticker must be placed so that you won't get in trouble for having someone pull up their shirt or pull down their pants

The problem with that, Elite mike, is those people are the very same people that might NOT see much in 3 sessions because of the tanning proccess. they will quit with 3 sessions, not seeing any color, but had they stuck it out for the 4 and 5 session, thats when their color takes off. It takes up to 3 sessions to stimulate melonin production and for it to migrate to the surface of the skin. If they are pale, they will have no melonin at the surface right away to tan.

Isn't this a Magic? Aren't they a more aggressive HP? At least 1% UVB?

With Traditional HP, yes, I agree with Island Cove. But with beds with a little UVB I don't see this at all. We see results right away - pale or dark.

BUT - don't sell HP as "immediate, blow you away results!". It is more bronzing, longer lasting. Not - "I just came in from being in the Aruba sun for 8 hours".

For existing, it is 'bronzing up' the melanin they've been building on your other units, keeping their tan longer and not having to come in as often, etc.

Plus - not $30 for them!! That is the whole beauty of it! Sure - $30 to some sucker walking off the street. But YOU my valued current customer -- you get to pay this substantially reduced upgrade price from your package --- AND, perhaps even less if you are my "preferred" EFT clients on preferred upgrade pricing!

What if they tell you they put the sticker on but then they don't? You have no way of proving that they didn't. Obviously you know if there is no outline then they didn't because they will definitly get color from the bed. But, people are sleezy and will most likely try to pull something like that. I can name probably 1/2 my clients that would.
