Do some searching - there are plenty of good threads on this.

Many people like the Sun Italia Magic 636, the Iso Italia Matrix, the Sportareddo Mastersun.

Ergoline just brought out the 1050 as a new unit (and they are new to HP) but it is getting good review.

Tan America has the Solarix - their internal version of HP, after importing the Iso Matrix for years.

Ultrabronze was the leader for a LONG time, and still have their following, although more "traditional HP" when many in the U.S. market seem to prefer a more "aggressive" unit.

The Acclaim hasn't gotten much press, and what it has gotten has been lukewarm.

But of course - ALL of this will depend on the rest of your mix, your budget, your competition and market, and what you are trying to accomplish.

They weigh about the same. If it was a convertible it would be a better tanning machine too!

The Aclaim needs a VERY large room, bigger than most HP units. The UVB is WAY to low, less than the old UB 818's. Nice looking unit though.

Ergo is just new to the 360 market, not new to building HP.

True Brian, but in my opinion, still a big difference in being able to get the cooling and everything else right on 360 HP vs. Combo beds.

I will stand corrected - Ergo is new to having a FULL HP unit - previously they have had HP/LP combo beds. But it is getting good initial reviews.

Better?

A good convertible is cheaper than an Acclaim.

Hmmm......thinking about this......

Actually Sunsally is correct. Ergo made a prototype 360 that was distributed in Herzegovinia way back in 1957.

They weren't boat anchors... but the Queen Mary II has an ad on eBay wanting two spare anchors. Offering $4500 each.

I know what a springbrook is - but what the heck is a springbok?

Is it the creek running between Mother's and Wahoo's by the OJ Bronco's 405?

you can never stop learning new and different things in life that will actually help you along the way. The word springbuck is used by the afrikaans citizens , and springbok is used by the english speaking citizens.
The noun springbuck has one meaning:
Meaning #1: South African gazelle noted for springing lightly into the air
Synonyms: springbok, Antidorcas marsupialis, Antidorcas euchore
