| Lots of browning rays: 125.2 mW/cm˛ - similar to a 636 at ~130. Reddening rays 15.5 MED/hr is pretty strong for HP. Not exactly "roid" but 15.48 min to 4 MEDs. (240/15.5 = 15.48 min). What is the labeled Te time... ~12 min? Your hand looks shiny with expensive lotion. My hands look chapped from the cold now-days.

Nobody (especially Rob's wife) needs 4 MEDs from HP in Te Time. In fact... like Drew... she probably prefers ~2 MEDs. NatureBoy used to want about 1 MED (like 818 bed).... but lately he's starting to like a bit more "hotter". __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ | Hall of Famer | Funny thing Steve... the top center column has 600w ballasts, while all other columns are at 800w. When you move the 7.0 to face the top side columns the meter jumps to around 20. I don't realy care for these first readings too much....I am more interested to see what will happen 50 hours from now. |

| Hall of Famer | no adjustability on lenny....that's the advantage of the magic/king/sunsport platinum over most others. Mike, I changed lamps on it (don't ask why). Now, the acrylic is held by 6 screws, and the glass is hinged. once the acrylic came off....15 minute job for all 5 columns....the lamps on the WHOLE bed can be changed in 10 minutes FLAT!!!! no joke |

| VENDOR Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 387 | Let me guess. Logicam in Italy sent you a whole new set of lamps, because they put the wrong lamps in there to match the ballast set up for the North American market. I bet they had the lamps in it to match the Italian lamp configuration. This unit should really brown nice. I would guess not all needed to be changed out, just the wrong ones. |

well...Al....you let the cat out of the bag now...so let me ask: WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO CHANGE THE BALLASTS FROM 800 TO 500 WATTS??????? I have 15,000 people on helios and maybe 100 have red hair and freckles. For them a traditional HP is ok. If I wanted a traditional HP I would not get a Lenny. I wanted an HP for punjabi mofo's like myself. So on a bed that's supposed to tan skin types 3b and up why on earth would someone set it up for ghost tans?

OK... you probably don't understand that. But the bottom line is EU beds are being neutered. So you gotta "upgrade" them in the US or Canada if they get made to meet the EU law. That would typically involve ballasts, lamps, and/or filter glass. You now have 15+ MED/hr... so be punjabi mofo happy - don't worry. Beach Boys copyright circa 1985. Maybe someday I won't be the only one left on tanning boards who knows this geek stuff. Where's Don Smith? Where's ..... __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang"

The original BlackSun HP's back around 2003 (before the EU law) were on super 'roids. They gave 4 MEDs in about 6 minutes! They were then downgraded to "normal" shortly thereafter. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang" |

| UV Geek Squad Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lake St Clair Posts: 3,326 | See.... you guys? The 7.0 meter is worth it's weight in gold ($900/ounce). The bed probably read like 7 MED/hr before you "fixed" it. Now maybe Tammy and NatureBoy will get one someday. Hell even Toronto has one. How else can one see their MED/hr without using a $50K Oprtonics spectralradiometer? I'm gonna raise the 7.0 price from $179 to $40K now lol. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang" |

If I could run it (the proper version) at 11 mins like my Magic's, might tip the scales for me getting one. I still refuse to buy a 7.0 if no Canadian wholesaler's have to to drop ship it. It has to be in stock. Or maybe next time I am in Nashville or something. |

I would take a wild guess that 2021-Steve's 6.0 UVB meter would show ~1.75 mW/cm˛ or around 1.4% of the 125.2 total UV. Maybe a bit less. __________________ ![]() ......................Flashback 2001........................ "One of the 'ORIGINAL' TanToday Gang"
