Us salon owners know what we need and what works. Certan loves his Tanses units, I love my Sportarredo units. I have never said anything negative about the magic. I think the magic is a great unit when it is working and after all the upgrades. __________________ www.islcovetravel.com |

I just get annoyed reading these post sometimes Like I said earlier it reminds me of Mystic Tan. Everybody always wanted to say it was the best spray booth on the market and nothing else will compare.. I would put my Magic tan 3000 against the mystic anyday and now with the versa spa I dont see why anybody would even consider getting a mystic. Theres lots of bullshit artist out there in bed sales.. If there wasnt nobody would have ever bought ETS or puretan or other junk like that.. |

Is there a Mug6 equivalent for the Matrix? Most people love the bed but some people get intimidated by the Matrix and I can't get them back in it. Any suggestions? |

However, I do agree that my Magic Tan 3000 out perfoms they mystic anyday. And, I used to have some Puretan beds that I had for about 6 years and never had a single problem with any of them. I don't think they are in the same category as ETS. |

There are some differences in the lamps as far as watts. I have a 06 and 07 model and it has 2000 watt facials. I think the older ones have 1000 watt facials. The newer ones have body fans at the end of the bed and the older ones have the control pod in the middle of the bed compared to the right side of the bed. The 06 models also have misters and aroma therapy. The biggest difference is the M-ug 6 glass. It turns the bed from a good bed to a great bed. The adjustibility of the bed is what makes the Magic the best HP bed out there as far as I am concerned. The sheer power and adjustibility is a combination that no other bed has. Certan, as far as Puretan is concerned, don't lump the bed in with the last management of the company. The last management of the company was bad. When Roger sold the company it went downhill fast. I have Puretan beds in one of my salons and they do nothing but tan. I have had some of them since 2000 and the only thing I have had to replace are 2 relays and I did over 15000 sessions on those beds last year. I wouldn't buy ETS beds if they were the last beds made. Looks like you are 0 for 2 today. |

Just tested the new 2008, the Solarmeter 5.0 on the body reads 130, over the face 155. The 6.0 UVB meter was 1.6. This cannot be compared to a VHR unit, unless there is one out there that reads over 100 milliwatts of UVA. |

I read so much how mw/cm² B is confused with % B and what the correlation between the two are as compared to overall output. %B number is bull$h!t. It means nothing. stop comparing %B to real world output as everyone thinks that the percent B means the bed will be exactly the same if it is a 2500 watt junker base bed or a 36,000 watt guzzler on steroids. "Oh, My beds are 6% UVB reddening beds", Dumba$$es!!! |

Here are the facts. Mastersun uses less power. less AC, requires a breaker 45 amps less, requires min smaller room size, does not require purchasing upgrade glass. I currently have 629 hours on Mastersun, and still going strong. Not to mention how the acrylic is cooled so never hot spots, and air blows down on clients in 2 strips the whole length of the body for a very comfortable session. Very easy to clean, just a quarter turn on the bolts, and the columns hing open. My staff can clean this unit right to the glass in matter of minutes. I set up this unit in March and besides cleaning, have done nothing to it. I could leave for months on end and my staff would not have to worry about bumping up power to this unit. Plug it in and tan away. This is a very easy unit to use, Perfect unit for someone who does not wish to fiddle or have the know how. So my one Mastersun we got a mini "transformer" brian oshman will argue this with me. it looks and works exactly the same as an 818 transformer. you can open the side and adjust the tamps from 220-230-240. so if you realy wanted to, yes you can do similar to the magic. There is a salon in texas that just runs their unit at 220. New lamps, its almost too much at 230, almost want to drop it down to 220 for the first bit. My second Mastersun has the buck booster that brian oshman believes is what i'm referering to as a mini transformer. this buck booser I cannot play taps at all does not even look remotely the same. |

You are in big trouble Lava Troy buying a Magic not knowing anything about them (I have 3). I would recommend reading every post in a search about Magic's and try to sift though the "better bed" arguements between salespeople. Other than that, either hire Brian or someone who can even help you over the phone. My biggest concern first off is if you even have enough electrical considering you don't know the size of your panels and what is left. Then if you are going to be able to exhaust the bed and cool it properly. You really should have posted this BEFORE you bought the bed. But I guess your in for it no matter what now. |

I am already aware that i need more air and it will be installed before this bed will be put to use. If you had a clue what I paid for this bed you wouldnt be saying that. Anyway, I already stated that I have to have another panel box installed. I am prepared to do whatever is necessary, I'm just here to find out what that is. |
