Default Can you help me with my Magic 636

So, I just bought a 2003 magic that will be here around the end of this coming week. I know absolutely nothing about this machine or any high pressure bed for that matter. The guy I'm getting it from just bought the salon and knows nothing about it either. Can anyone direct me to someone that can help. I need High Pressure 101 for dummy's. All i know at this point is that it needs a 125 amp breaker. I need to have this room ready quick! Just looking for install help for now. I will get inquire about learning to us it later.

Wow, keep us posted here...as to your journey with the magic. Seems we hear its the absolute #1 HP...but comes with a bit of maintenance issues. Do you know if it has the Mug 6 glass already? seems thats the main issue.

Do you already have solarmeters? You'll need at least a 5.0 if not the 7.0 as well. Once you get it up and running, the main magic guys here will want to know readings i;m sure.

So, best of luck and congrats on your purchase. Pm me if you need a good contact for facial lamps...and no, i'm not a disty.

I'm also hoping to add a magic in the near future.

Wow, 125 amp breaker? Holy, absorbs the juice!! Thats 3 phase?

It will cost you, but I would suggest to hire Brian Oshman. It will be worth your investment. If you try to do this bed by yourself with some instructions, and slightly mess this up, it will be hard for someone over the phone to correct this. I have some MUG 6 left, whoever purchased this new will know if you have MUG 6, they would have paid another 3k upgrade, and they only add it if it was asked for.

AL,
That should work for him to have Brian...same neck of the woods? I think...
You don't have enough of the mug 6 do you? Seems awhile back you were blowing them out....but not a full set? What, $87 if i remember correctly?
What other upgrades might he be needing? Trying to give him a little heads up before he awakes today...seems he was up late and also educate myself on used Magic's....thanks.

I would need to check on Monday, but I may have 60 pieces left. I would take 75.00 for each piece needed. You will most likely not see this price for a long time because of the euro dollar. I would not recommend any of the other upgrades for him, they are aromatherapy, and misting. Not sure if he has the body blower down at the end, but if he has MUG 6, the body blowers located directly above the customer should be plenty.

Its normally my work method to buy and then learn but I got the best deal ever on this bed so I couldn't pass it up. Now, I need to get the room ready FAST! Is there a way to tell if the bed has Mug 6 just by looking? Also, what is it exactly that the mug 6 does differently? Im gonna contact Brian today about doing my install.

M-UG 6 glass is a dark violet glass made in Germany, good quality, and very expensive. It absorbs the visible light, and IR. This allows for a cooler session, and eliminating hot spots for the most part. The original Magic Italian glass is a lighter color, and if you look at it closely it has all these squiggly lines going through it, kind of looks like it's cracking all over the glass.

Well, I think natureboy has the same issue as me, one column is hotter than the others. Nothing we did makes it right. MUG 6 smoothed out that heat though. Clients love it now, the pre mug 6 days had the thing sitting here having people afraid of it.

Island, the neck wasn't the bad part. They actually had 3 sheets of mug 6 on the back area when I got it. I wouldn't have wanted to try it without the MUG there. My biggest problem was right around the hips, it was unbearable. Only 2 clients made it all through the 12 mins, most ended at 8.

A 5.0 is a must....Are you installing it yourself?

Wow, too expensive of a bed to have this sort of problem!! But once you get the mug 6 in them, aok? Seems i hear of adjustments to get things right?? To get it dialed in correctly? Not that my Ergo 650 is of any comparison, but at least its been a work horse and you just push a button, lay down, let the auto fans do their thing, relax and get a kick azz tan! I just so badly want a 360 HP I have mattress HP now...

I'm really intimidated by this bed. I really need to learn alot about it before i start running people through it!

I found out today that I may have to have another panel box put in. This will make my 3rd one. I paid $16k earlier this year to have all my electrical ready (I thought). They were aware that I would be installing larger beds that require more amperage. I'm scared to find out how much more this is going to cost me.

Mike made a good point. I'm pretty sure all Magic's came with 2 or 3 sheets of glass. They were always put in the bottom center column. Look to see if one column has a darker color glass, that would be the MUG 6.

I don't really know right now. I can't believe that i may have to have another panel installed. This sucks a$$. I was hoping for something to be relatively and go smoothly but I guess I'm asking too much. lol

Do you at least have 3 phase already? I can safely assume this runs off 3 phase not single phase. I know you said its a 125 amp breaker...What a draw! I hear this is the whip when totally dialed in. Seems confisuing so far But, good luck!!!
Wonder if i understand Al's comment...that it has 3 sheets of glass in the lower middle column? wow!! Or maybe it was that there was 3 different panels available??

thats why I chose the Mastersun. Nicer looking, plug it in and walk away! well clean it. I'm just waiting for my lamps to arrive, I have had to do zero things to this unit since installing it throughout my lamp life.

Elite Mike, I tanned in one pre mug 6, felt like my neck was melting. not my hips. back of the neck.
