Default Pro's & Cons Sunboard Plus?

Whats the feedback on the UWE Sunboards? Do your clients like them? Do you?
Thanks for your thoughts....

Never owned one, but I did tan in one several times prior to opening my own salon. It was a "plus" model. Had a lot of curb appeal, but didn't tan worth a crap. I can't say it that was due to poor maintenance or if it's just not a good performer. It's a shame too because if they tanned well they would be a great addition.

The Sunboard has 2 problems, Solman mentioned the first, it just doesn't tan very well. The second is that some women feel exposed in it with the open design that it has. As a guy, I don't have that problem with it.

Let me give you an example, the lowest price I get on my Magic
is $18 a session and they have to buy 20 at a time to get that price. My nearest competitor sells the Sunboard for as low as $8
a session if you buy 10. Which one would you want to be selling?

There are only 3 HP beds right now that I would consider. The Magic, Mastersun, and the Matrix. That would be the Tan America version or the ISO version.

I might add a Leonardo to that list.

This is what i've heard, both the privacy feeling and that they just don't tan well. The used price is so attractive to have a 360 is why i'm asking. I wondered if keeping the lamps fresher, like changing them at 20% or less would help them tan better? Maybe i should wait for the magic/mastersun or matrix?

Someone had a 05 Magic on one of the forums for 18K. I have seen some Matrix listed also.
A cheap price doesn't mean anything if you have to give it away.

I hear what you're saying big al...i was'nt planning to give it away...price it above my omega's and even with my ergo 650? Still leaving room to add a magic down the road or sooner? my omega's are 5 stars, ergo is 6...entry level beds 1...facial 32 lamp beds 2....orbits 4...
but if it does'nt tan as well as an omega...why buy it i guess? but at least you don't have to flip...and you're getting 20 full minutes full body. question is, will it tan as well as the omega? better i hope?

I've tanned in a plus as well. I was very disapointed, in fact I don't even think they tan as well as many 3rd level beds. Honestly I think little HP units like that give HP a bad name.

But still no answer to "will it out tan an omega?" i mean i know they still tan...just no comparison to a magic, mastersun or matrix...but 7k, not 16-20k for used!!! None the less, its a level of tanning....so, does anyone know the question to my answer???

dbl-a, do you even have your salon open yet? how would you know? I'm hoping to hear from a salon owner that has both. Maybe you've tanned quite abit in both?
